Props for a children's Book

I have to make a prop for my Art class. The prop has to relate to a children's book and it has to be made from recyclable items. I'm not quite sure which book I'll be using just yet, but do you guys have any ideas as to what I could make? I was going to make a wand for a princess book but I couldn't find any books that had to do with wands or anything. I just need some help and any ideas because getting ideas from others not taking the class has always been a helpful tool. Thanks in advanced!
