Do you believe in the old saying that when one door closes another door opens? Have you always found this to be true.. Has there ever been a time in your life when all doors were closed? I have found this saying to be true.. so many times.

no...I believe that when one door closes, you have to FORCE another door open. You have to make it happen...

I guess that is a way some people look at it.. I don't believe you have to force it. .though.

Definitely agree. I've experienced that during my final year in college. I've been deprived of a chance to finish my studies by a company but a larger door has opened for me. I've been given a much great opportunity and finally finished my studies and found a job as well. God gives us things that are meant for us in His time.

I had the same thing happen to me due to work Moreover I lost everything practically due to my last job; but God is taking care of things; putting the right people in place He is forever watching over us.. If He lets us go through something it's so we can see how much we need Him

Amen. He surely knows what He is doing. We just need to have faith.

I couldn't agree more goldeneagle. Life doesn't hand you anything. You have to work for it. Sometimes you have to work really hard just to get a fraction of what you need. You get nothing in life by waiting for life to give it to you. You must take it. My mom always said, you have to make you own luck in life or you won't have any luck at all.

Doors be open have nothing to do with working hard or not simply means there are new opportunities that arise when your present one ends.. OF course you have to do your part.. you have be step inside the open door and do whatever is required to benefit from the open door..but doors do open..

I absolutely agree with the saying. There have been times in my life when the thing that I wanted to happen did not happen and just when I was on the verge of feeling frustrated, something else came up which on the long run turns out to be better. So for me I absolutely agree with this saying. Cheers! Ram

For some reason ..things tend to happen like. that..just when you are about to give up hope..at the end of your rope..there comes someone or something to lift us out of our misery.

Maybe. But then it's us who makes our life. If we want anything to happen,it's all because of our actions. We cannot depend on luck,it's us who do our luck.

Sometimes things happen just because we are in the right place at the right time.

It's in our nature to make up for what we lack. Life has a way of compensating for what is lacking.

I do think that there is some truth to this saying. It might not always be easy to see this to be the case all the time, but I do think there is some truth to this.

I don't think it's an odd saying, I think it's true. It is, I guess, if you live in that kind of optimistic, hopeful mindset. If you don't, then I can understand. But I think it's ultimately about taking advantage of the opportunities around you and not letting them pass by. I also think it's about everything in your life happening for a reason..Not necessarily the same thing as "fate" (in my book), but just saying that we live and learn and make better choices the next time around.

Indeed, nothing is chance or luck; although many will say things are a game of chance. I believe . .that there is always something else waiting to be done; so when what we are doing is cut short.. there is still something out there waiting for our expertise.

I found this to be true. Whenever my girlfriend breaks up with me i find that there are so many other hot babes out there. So the saying goes, when one door closes there are other doors that opens.

Absolutely it is part of my faith and hope that continues to drive to always believe that in some form the next door will either be better or at least progressive for me. See I think that while under stress we continually concentrate on the negativity effects which does not allow us to think clearly that sometimes these negativity in some way are in place so that we can learn from it. So when the other door opens per say it may not be as lucrative as the one before but it certainly for our health, and sanity will be better.

Amen to that; it may not be as lucrative but it is always the best one for our sanity, well being and over all happiness..

Yes, I do believe that. That's really true for me. I experience that many times. When I find no way out, there will be another way open. That's God who arrange it for me. God who owns all doors will open the doors to human beings, all human beings. And life will never find no way if we still believe in God. Believe that He never leave us alone.

Sometimes we don't see the light when the darkness of bad actions close on us.. but God is ever waiting with His light to help us surmount the darkness.

Hi Littlefranciscan. I have always found this to be a true saying. It has always been this way with me. I have never found it to be untrue.
