Rubies, sapphires, and zirconium. Selling and trade in London, England.

I recently went travelling around south east asia, and whilst in beautiful burma I came across a jewellery market.
I was with someone I greatly trusted and as I was on a tight budget, gave them only £30 to buy me gem stones.
Among them: 10 small rubies (no idea about carat, but 3-4mm diameter, 2mm height, rough round cut. Some quite brilliant and pink, others darker reds.), 1 larger ruby (6mm smooth spherical cut, red, but not bad), 1 sapphire (6mm diameter, 4 height, round cut. Quite dark blue sadly.), 2 zirconiums (octagon cut, 9-10mm long, 4mm wide, maybe 3 high. Slightly lime tinted yellow).
Are there any experts here who can advise me on how to sell them in London..?
I got a validation of around £300-£400 for them "if I find a buyer that takes a fancy to them". And I also got told not "to tell people I got them for £30..".
What do I do with them..?
Is £300 a fair estimate..?
Can I sell them without a certificate of type and quality..?
Can I get a certificate for type and quality..? How much would that cost?
thanks for the help.
And if anyone is interested, I'll tell them how it goes! It might be quite a good way of making money if anyone goes Myanmar some time soon!
cheers
