a warning that once scared me...

I would love to hear your opinion of religion, and your views of life. I am a religious man myself, a christian, but I am also open minded. I do not disagree with anyones views and would rather learn and be enlightened by you then counter everything you have to say. If you feel like discussing anything I would love to chat with you. Everyone is different and have there own journey in this reality to find there own answers of what they feel is real and what they choose not to believe, and even though i feel what i go by is right I could never disagree with anyone. Nobody knows what happens when we die, and there is no worldly proof of what religion is right or else every one would be the same religion. I just hope me and you both are following the right path.

yes,politics and religion can divide us all if we keep on discussing things like this in here. it is not impossible to have rude comments if people really want to point out things themselves. we have to be open to other point of views as well,so it would really be an argument to start topics like that.

i answer politics posts all the time. Maybe some religion as well. Yes, there are closed minded people everywhere, who think their's is the only answer, but as long as the adults prevail, I see no problem.

I think it depends on you. There are different people out there and that's what people are. I personally take interest in different types of opinions even if they are mean... so I would still post things about religion if I have a questions or comment about it. It's interesting to me, but yes, it sure is a hot topic.

Being a member of this site, you should know well what the purpose is. For every discussion that we post, we must open our mind to all kinds of comments, be it sarcastic, rude or polite. All the members here come from different countries and we belong to the different cultures. These differences may cause some misunderstanding. What may be sarcastic to us, may not be sarcastic to others. I think we must have an open mind in all things here.

For me, don't. That topic is sensitive. You are aware that religion divides people, as well as politics. That's why I don't like sharing my views here about religion. I don't know anything about politics. :)

Hi Hushi, I think most people would be kind and offer up their views even if they differ from yours. I have noticed that there is always one or two on these types of discussions that don't just offer their viewpoints but rather state them as a fact while putting others down for feeling differently. This is what tends to spark the harsh words. Religion, politics, abortion and homosexuality are highly charged discussions and many have very set and firm thoughts on these topics. It is very easy to get drawn in and fired up.

Well, I have never been rude answering discussions. If i don't like the discussion because it is sarcastic, false statement or hurting people, I just ignore and leave the page. However, reality checked some people do disgusting comments and we can't do anything about it. Maybe it was plainly commenting for them.

There are a lot of people in general who will judge you for your beliefs. People who truly know God would never do this! Politics on the other hand I always stay away from unless I know the group I'm talking with is respectful. When I remind people that people who vote are patriots everyone stays calm. Just be careful of your responses, you may just become more confused!

hushi^^ we can make discussions about whatever themes we want. we all can respect each other. everyone has the right to have his own religion. we shouldnt force no one to choose our. so as long as you respect and just share about what your religion is is all ok^^ so dont worry make a discussion about that if you want. i know that you wouldnt force us to choose your religion bcs you are a respectful person^^ have a good day^^

Nothing to be afraid of or to worry about. We are here to participate in discussions so we should be open in all response or views. Either negative or positive on your view we must accept it. After all they can't hurt you physically.

Indeed, that is an issue some people find so sensitive to. Individual beliefs and views must be respected and be given right to be heard and said, afterall, it is our right to express opinions in our moral right.

You have not to be scared. I am not interested in politics today -- maybe because I crossed too many politicians in another life -- : I don't follow these interests and I participated only to a small number of discussions started by friends. In the religious interests, discussions are often very good, and I have always found nice people at myLot : it is a great place to discuss and share about religion. I never got a rude comment in these discussions : don't wait your 10000th post to start your own .
