Learn the language from the native speakers themselves, I make use of the online dictionary as well to improve my English pronunciation or speech through this tool. Or check for the dictionary and study very well how each word are produce, each English word is distinctly different so producing them well would allow the listener or receiver to get the message clearly. Patience, interest and diligence of learning the English language is an important ingredient for one to be able to become an effective English speaker.

English has been our international language so far.It has been accepted internationally in this world. Here in the Philippines,English has been our academic subject since we were in our elementary days.At first we find to be a challenge of learning this language because it is only our second language.Teachers here were patiently taught us to study well and invest to learn this language,we are even criticized when we don't know how to used it properly in grammatical, and in sentences.Writing, speaking, reading, listening are the integral parts of English, that's why we are known to be the best English speakers in Asia.Call centers and other BPO companies emerged to established here in the Philippines as a hub for southeast Asia.I believed that speaking English is a basic way to learn English, but writing, and reading helps you to improved the way you knew about this language.

I think the student's effort would matter a lot. Someone who really is persistent to learn English would definitely learn it faster than someone who just wants to learn English but is not persistent enough to study. Learning English is just like learning other languages. Of course, background would also matter-- if you're part of a country or a race that find it hard to speak English, then you need lots of time to learn it than those who live, say for example, in the Philippines, or in Singapore. Another factor would be the degree of motivation. Some people learn English faster (and learn it well) because they need to do. For example, when applying for a job. Again, like with learning other stuff, learning how to speak English would require persistence and the excitement to learn. When you are excited to learn it, you would enjoy every single day of doing so, which would make the learning process faster. Hope I helped!

Hello Lemonle. I'm a native English speaker so I don't know much on how to learn it. What I know is that English is such a hard language to learn. You have to continually practice saying things and knowing different root words and such. The English language is very tricky though. I mean, take the words comb and tomb. They look like way differently from what they sound! I feel so lucky being a native English speaker. If you really want to learn English, I suggest buying Rosetta Stone. I hear it's way better than taking classes.

The best way i can suggest to you is to have an actual conversation with an american. I used to work in a call center that provides service to the united states and that's how i learned to speak the language quickly. Although i still make mistakes.

Hello, some people are not speaking English but some for them English is a normal language for them. Since childhood I was hearing English language until I grow up. Now for me English is as easy as 123 and ABC, why? Because when I was in my school days, I never stop learning English language until adopted it and when I worked abroad I spoke language too. So learning English is not hard because it is an universal language.

I think I'm in your first category. I've learnt English since I was 12, and I can't say I am sure of my knowledge. But I haven't used English until I found myLot. I love myLot because it gives me the opportunity to practice my English, even that it is only written English. When I joined myLot I was afraid to post a comment before checking the spelling and the grammar. Now I became more confident and words come easier to me. So, if you like to discuss, myLot will be a great place for you to practice your written English. As for the spoken English, you can try to see your favorite movies without subtitles. It will help you understand the pronounciation of English words, and it can improve your pronounciation, too.

i couldn't boast how good I am in english. But, at least now, I have the courage to speak and comment in english. I suggest reading english books, viewing english movies and talking a lot to people in english will help you improve in english a lot. There are a lot of asian foreigners in our country studying here, just to cope up and be well versed in english language, Philippines is one of the english speaking country in the world. So those are the good things that could at least enhance your English skills mate. God bless you!

I can say I have learned English best from movies, music, internet or computer in general. It is important to listen to pronunciation a lot, then you can repeat it more accurately and also listening to a lot of spoken English will give you a reflex in grammar. You don't need to learn it because you will know the rules by the sound of it, like in your native language and it will come as a reflex. Last but not least, one should always search for the meaning of a new word read or heard and, of course..daily..repetition and perseverance.

I can say that I'm not yet good at English as this is not my mother tongue but I can understand the language well and I am able to communicate in English as speaking in English is required in my current job as a call center agent. I think the most effective way to learn English is to practice it in your everyday life because if you stop learning it, you may be loosing some things that you've learned in English. Watching English movies or listening to a radio station that speaks in English is one of the effective way because by listening to it, your ears are getting used to it so you can pronounce words correctly.

Hi there. I not that good in English but i think i can say that i can understand most of it. One way for learning English is to watch something that speaks English. Works wonders for me. It helps me kinda imitate the accent. As for vocabulary, try learning one word a day and use it regularly. I don't regularly do it but i think its works. Last for me is Practice. Practicing on speech and writing is an effective way for me. Hope that helps. Just enjoy it. Good luck on learning.
