I had joined online contests before even with only modest prizes. It is not the prize at all. It is more about how you will fare with others who joined the contest.
I have a contest in my blog and it ends on November 30, 2010. It is a first for me and it would really be exciting when people participate. Here's crossing my fingers that there will be participants.
Anyway, do you take part in online contests? What sort of contests do you like? Why do you decide joining?

I joined a site called traffic rush. I spend a lot of my free time promoting using traffic exchanges. Traffic Rush is a prgram where if you surf the traffic exchanges holding a traffic rush you collect tickets for that rush. At the end of the Rush there is a draw and the winner plus his referrer wins a money prize. The prizes range from a minimum of $5.00 to a maximum of $100.00. So far I have won $20.00. It's a good way to find a lot of little known and unusual traffic exchanges. Other than that I haven't participated in any online competitions.

Most definitely. I myself live in Italy and I see participants from many countries. All you need to do to participate is sign up for traffic rush and have a valid website you can rotate in traffic exchanges.

I really do not like to sign up for any form of online contests as I use to be really great at GPT sites and had to sign up for so many offers causing my email addresses to be so overloaded with junk.
So anytime I have to put my email on any type of online thingy, I think about the 100 emails that comes with it, I normally pass on that.

I have seen some sites that has online contest and such but you need a lot of dedication for that site alone to win which I don't really have.
But I get lucky with those random winner contest and such.

I don't regularly take part in online contests because I think that the vast majority of them are scams. However, I am taking part in some writing contests on Helium because even though I really don't think that I am going to win, just the reward of getting a lot of articles written in a short period of time is something that is rewarding to me. I am able to get the upfront and empty title bonuses on there and it works out well for me.

I have done some photo contests and writing contests. But one thing i do like to do is run races. But it's not the competition with others that makes it so interesting and fun. It's the competing with myself! But the atmosphere and hanging out with other runners is the best part!
