What do you do for a living now? and what do you want to have as your career in the future... if not what you are doing now. I know alot of people don't actually want the job they have but keep it because it provides money for their family. I am in the hospitality trade and work in a kitchen, but i do wish i had a slightly different job.
I would love to work with older people and make a difference to other peoples lives one day. Do you enjoy the job you do now?
Thanks!

I'm a kennel worker. I take care of dogs. I enjoy it for the most part, but there are parts of it that I do not care for at all.
As far as a career goes, I'd love to have my own kennel and be my own boss. But since that is more of a pipe dream I'd like to work for the government as an animal control officer.
Happy mylotting!

Right now I love my jobs. I sell online on ebay, thats lots of fun. Its alot of work, but I really enjoy it. I have also been managing a telemarketing office. I also do telemarketing, I like that too. I work for a chimney sweep company, right now its our busy season. I don't know how long this job will last. The telemarketing office has only been in business since June, so far things are going good. Once our busy season is over with we will see if we can still make appts. if we can't, the boss will not be able to keep paying us. I have also been busy on ebay, its getting to be that season too. I try to save my money for lean times, I know them times are always right around the corner. I also recently was doing housecleaning on the side, been doing that with my mom for many years.

Hi joey_matthews, it's nice to know that you at least have a job to earn enough for daily expenses. I hope you could accomplish your wish to have a slightly different job later to work with older people. I like my part time job. I enjoy working together with many friendly and helpful colleagues with common interests. We always grab opportunity to chat and to share with topics which interest us during office hour. It's not easy to come across job which I love as well as having many good colleagues in the same camp
Happy posting

hi joey I am retired now but I worked til I was 79 . the first half of my life I worked as a nurses aid, then when I married i only worked part time, then when my hubby was disabled I worked part time and full time later in our local library. I loved both jobs as I was helping people and felt good each night when I went home. I also helped people as a page in a library . while I just shelved media of all kinds I also answered questions and steered people to the right spot for what they were looking for.Now I am enjoying being retired and mylotting a lot.

I'm an instructor and I enjoy teaching. I hope that I can practice law someday but I don't really think that's what i really want. I've been working ever since I got married and maybe what I really want is just to be a plain housewife. Taking care of my family, my son and my husband. I want to be in a real family.

Love your job and the way you work will be lighter. i guess, sometimes we don't have choices but to stay in the job. Nevertheless, it is the one giving us a living. But having an 8 hour job should not be the only source of income. You can also have some parttime, in addition to your income. me, i have a stable job yet i find time to sell some stuff aas an additional and i enjoy it very much. Have a great day!

I am Consultant in an IT consulting firm deployed here in Kimberly-Clark. LOL! I also have an online store run in Facebook but the profits vary very much so I cannot rely on it solely. Ooops, I am into money sites right now, mylot and cashgopher are my firsts. I am trying to venture in selling fresh water pearl accessories soon as I have found a very cheap supplier of it amidst my mission trip on an island. =)

Currently my job is stay at home mom. I'd have to say on most days I enjoy it. It can be challenging though. Everyone thinks its a cake job. But you are constantly cleaning up messes and making meals and doing laundry. Especially if you have more than one kid. I have three little "tornadoes" that leave a path of destruction behind them. I used to work in daycare. I'm hoping to go to school to get a job as a medical secretary or something along that lines.

I am an older person, lol, but I don't need anybody to work with me right now. In earlier times, I worked many different kinds of jobs (including hospitality trade), but mostly teaching or administration in the public schools. Probably I made a difference in some people's lives. At least this is what they say.
The job I have right now is having fun, as I am retired. Since my childhood was not the fabled carefree American Dream, I did not get to go out and play all day with my friends as some children do. So I am making up for that lost time. I play two kinds of team sports and swim and bike and most evenings I play a few interactive games on the computer. Life is good.
When I was working, no matter what job I held I always tried to be the kind of worker I would have liked to have had I been my employer. Aside from the ubiquitous workplace politics, I pretty much enjoyed every job. In fact, once when reporters came to interview people at one workplace, they took my picture and put it in the local newspaper with the caption "Enjoys Job!"

I work for a dog walking and pet sitting agency! And I also do freelance photography on the side! I absolutely love my job... but it doesn't pay a lot at all! It's okay for right now, but I know in the future I will need a job that pays more.

I avid career is as a Medical Surgical Administrator in the Health-care field, which I have done for so long until I was laid off early this year. Simultaneously I have done runway modeling for the Ronald McDonald's Children's Charities.. so rewarding...
So currently I am doing what I can to survive, as many employers find that I am way to over qualified. I do things like IT consulting, integrity rating, some runway and online earnings.
I am eager to get back to my field in the healthcare so it is a daily struggle but I am still hoping.
