My dog licks things. I'm serious.
He has been seen licking the carpet, the door, the walls, and even a pair of shoes.
This morning, the shoes was his thing. Our roommate works in a candy factory of some sort and works with raisins. So after he came home, the dog realized that there was something good on his work shoes and started licking them like crazy.
That I understand, but what I don't get is why he would lick walls or the carpet. We've never dropped anything tasty on the carpet where he's been licking, nor has anything ever gotten on the doors or walls.
Tonight I found him lying by the fireplace, and he didn't care about the heat coming from it.
When he goes out in the backyard he'll eat the grass. When the vegetables were growing, he was eating the tomatoes, the zucchini and anything else he could find. But after he eats grass, he comes inside and stinks the place up with his farts.
He has discovered the dead basil plants outside and is trying to eat them, they still have a smell to them, and I guess that's why he's trying to eat them. But I'm not letting him as I don't know if it's good for him or not.
He has some strange habits that's for sure.

He could be having some stomach issues, I would suggest calling an your vet to get. I worked at one for 6 years. I worked at an emergency vet clinic and you see all kinds of things. Check his gums to see if he is dehydrated, if they look pale or white I would suggest taking him to be seen. What kind of dog is he?

Oh, my dog licks tons of stuff too, but not as much as your dog I guess. I guess dogs are just basically weird creatures, haha! (not to mention they all definitely have their own personalities, which shows in different ways as well I guess...)
