Do you agree that our expenses usually will go up when our income increase?
I do know some people who can keep to the same expenses when they payroll increase but i noticed that it is common that people of higher income do spend more than those of lower income. What do you think?

I think we tend thats way when we had more money we had more expectation. We our salary still small we are hoping we saving to buy something we want like new laptop or cellphone.
When got more salary we want higher thing like car and houses or had vacation to exotic place.
The more money we got we usually had higher living standard.
Have a nice day.

For most people it seems to be true. I try to avoid this though, if you are strict with yourself it is possible!

I agree with you. With higher income, you'd be deemed to have upgraded one notch. With that, you'd want a better standard of living and so forth. For instance, with a higher income, you may want to go on a longer holiday or somewhere further away and more expensive, compared to nearby locations. Temptations will be since just because you can!
Unless that person has reached a comfortable standard of living, and does not need any extra things in their life, then expenses can remain the same. But this is tough! However, if you can very disciplined, this can be done.

It really would be tough not to spend the extra money one has :D
Anyway, i do admire those who can be disciplined to maintain their existing lifestyle with the increase of income. However, when we tried to do so, many people will consider us being "stingy" instead of moderate :D
I myself definitely will try to get a more decent living if my salary increase. Maybe your saying is correct that while we are still not contented enough of what we get, it is difficult to maintain the current lifestyle.
Thanks and have a good day!

people want to earn more to spend more, I think. We don't feel comfortable with what we have now and always want to update or upgrade and it needs more money. So, when the income starts flowing in, we don't hesitate to spend more. Only some people has the guts to live with satisfaction and they save the excess money for their future projects.

I often feel no matter how much we earn for the month, it is still not enough to put much of it into saving.... Maybe you are right, we tend to spend the extra money we have on things that we wish to have instead of what we actually needed. We go for luxury instead of necessity when we have extra.
Cheers!

I think it's right. I also do it by myself. When my income increase, I want to buy the better things, of course.

We don't have to worry how to spend money as we often have things to buy when we have money. However, when it comes into earning extra money, we often have few or little ideas to increase our income. That's why no matter how much we have, we are still able to spend it all. Only when we learn how to save our money instead of going for other luxury, we are going to end up being what we are today :D
