Alas, I've returned to my hometown. I came from a mission trip on one of the most beautiful islands of the Philippines, Palawan. It was a joyful, fun and successful conference we've held there for the 150 delegates around that area. What's more exciting is I've met several inspiring and kind people who have shared their life and experiences and one of those is a 25 to 26 year-old girl who has stage 1 ovarian cancer. I've heard her story from our last conference but it's still moving and inspiring. The strength she has pulled through to get this life going is so amazing. We've spent a lot of time talking about love and yeah, health. I did not do much compared to others, but I guess since my boyfriend is there too to be a sharer and worship leader, my presence is more than enough to atest to his change as a person amidst the crowd. It was a wonderful experience. During the closing ceremony, I got to hug unfamiliar faces while imply enjoying every single moment I was still there. I look forward to a more challenging role next year where God can lead me to greater heights of faith.
Godbless everyone!

We have around 5 to 7 mission destinations last October and this November including us and we're blessed to have some people sponsor our food and accomodation. Because others really experienced the great sacrifice in the name of LOVE and SERVICE. Some were bitten by mosquitoes all over their body because they slept on Nipa huts but overall, this is the true calling of being a servant. Expect the worse! Afterall, mission is all about serving people because of your love for God and them as well.

Yes, that is the purpose of missions, to share G♥d love. I hope that it doesn't stop there though. I have known people in our home church who were into missions, but they were not very nice to people in the church itself. This is one reason I left this church, the adults and kids love going to other parts of the world sharing G♥d love, but were absolutely rude to us at home.. I would like to make a suggestion, find someone in your home church or neighborhood, show them G♥d love. I know sometimes people we are around are harder to get through, but they need His love as well. I wish my children felt His love, but because they were scorned, they all have turned away from Him..:(

I am sorry about your children not having the opportunity to receive God's love. I will pray for you. But I could somehow relate to those people in that church. They are also similar to the people I used to be with when I was still in a Baptist church. And there were a lot of issues like that too. So good to be true! The bible said that we should live by example. Walk the talk! Well, many times Christians forget this one.

I am glad that you enjoyed your mission trip to Palawan. It was wonderful that you met inspiring people. It was very sad to hear that the 25 to 26 year old lady has ovarian cancer. I am glad that she has strength to pull though. Sadly my friends mom got cancer in the 1980s and with luck her operations have worked. Hopefully her cancer won't come back. Your closing ceremony sounded very touching. I hope that your next journey of faith will be very worthwhile. I hope to visit the Philippines one day in the not too distant future.

Oh that would be really cool if you could come here. I used to work with Reuters based here in the Philippines so most of our colleagues came from the US. It's so overwhelming to hear from them how nice the people are and how they have enjoyed our place that if asked in the future to go back here they wouldn't hesitate to take the chance!

My first baptism is on a Catholic church but I studied in a Baptist school because it's near our place. During 5th grade, a symposium was held and that was when I committed my life to Him (Jesus). But then again, several inevitable incidents happened that I withdrew my membership from a baptist church I was affiliated to. Now, I am an active member of a Catholic charismatic community but my faith remains a baptist. Because I remembered in my past fervent prayer, I asked God to give me a service where I could grow as an individual and so as my faith in Him. And this is it... =)
