Why is it hard to refer people into online jobs?

We all know that in order to increase our earning from any earning sites is to refer more people especially if you work for any ptc sites but it's very difficult to refer others especially if you don't have a proof of payment that you can show that you already earned from the site you are offering. When you're going to search for online jobs, you will find that 99% of them is scam, therefore only 1% is legitimate and most internet surfers know this fact. Sometimes you can refer some of your friends to join with your site but most of them are so lazy that they don't even visit the site again after joining because they just signed up because of you and not for taking the opportunity to earn money. Just recently I referred 5 people to join here at mylot but as of now, all of them have not posted yet even a single response. I also sent emails to my colleague and friends but they just ignored them maybe because they think that it's just a sort of scam or something. Do you also find it hard to refer others? If you've been successful on referring others, what do you think is the best strategy to get more referrals?

Most people don't see the big picture of how much they could really earn through online methods. When I try to convince people to join freelance writing sites, they always say "oh, I want to make more than 5 cents an article I write", but I try to explain that that article will make that 5 cents everyday. Most people just write 5-10 articles I find, then give up. They don't get to the point where they have 100 articles built up and are earning a nice amount of cash on the side.
They don't realize how much they can make, they don't like the starting amount of money, they don't believe that you can make money online, they think it is fake: those are the top reasons I'd say.

hi ariel.
i will only refer to them i am very sure they will earn more than just enough money to survive life.hehe...as we know people like job which do not require them to work hard with great cash.since i still can not figure out an online job which will give them great cash so it is impossible for me to refer to others about the online works i do right now.for me this is an opportunity to earn an extra income and i do not think they want to have a try to it as it takes time-this is one of the reason they do not like to do the same thing as we are.i will only suggest things like mylot if they just want to do it in their free time, full time job??they will definitely say no! perhaps they did not see what we see about the future of online job.

Because people don't join sites, they join you. If you are pushing sites down peoples throats then they dont' want to hear that. but if you said like you know what you are talking about, people will join you in any program you tell them about.

I do not refer anyone because I wish to keep my friends. I have signed up for this site and a few others, I do not have very much time to sit here and try to figure out how get this works. All my efforts have been trial and error, and I am still trying to figure how my sites work and how to link them. As for legitmate sites to earn online. Where are they at? My people still believe in old fashioned communication, not many of them own computers, and they only use computers for basics. I would not say they are lazy just not interested or plenty frustrated.

I find it extremely hard to refer others, even when I show them proof that I am being paid. I am not sure why that is, but it seems they just don't believe it is possible or if they do believe, they do not want to put in the effort to get paid. They think they can just do nothing and the money will appear. It does seem to work out better if you can give yourself a credible online presence and help people to know you the person, in other words develope a following of people that trust in your credibility.

Many people will think it is a scam or tehy will see that they will earn very litle so why spend the time on these sites. To earn some sort of decent money we would all have to refer people but when we refer people, for them to make money they would need to do the same, if they don't know anyone that will sign up then they will hardly earn anything and so won't bother coming on again.

I would agree that it is difficult to get a profitable internet business through referrals of others, but I would not say that it is impossible. It will just take a lot of persistence. I have been earning money on the Internet for several years now. Not a lot of money, but it is building up slowly.
The problem is that the majority of people are expecting instant returns and in my opinion Internet income needs to be considered as a long-term process. Yes it would be great if every referral we signed up worked hard, but the sad truth is that they don't. What I tend to do is to message them several times and try and get them interested in the opportunity and whilst it works with one or two, the majority either don't answer my messages or promise they will be on site more often, but then don't bother. It's hard to understand why when you see people who use Facebook and other forums and get nothing for doing so, when there are program like Mylot that will pay them to socialise in a very similar way. I keep trying and will not give up and will always remain optimistic and positive that it is working... _Derek

I also find it hard but when i do get friends to join i usually try play a game with them like who can get the most money by the end of the week and thats how i would get them to post sometimes. Well that continued for a while but now none of my referals are not active.

People think that online money should be quick and easy and don't think that it takes time and effort just like a real job. If you're persistent and keep working online, you'll eventually get good money, people tend to get discouraged because the money's not "pouring in", but I've been able to earn some good money online and I'm quite happy about it, because I worked hard for it and I earned it all. It doesn't come in all at once, but it does add up over time.

Well most people think online earning is a myth, that it's impossible. So they don't even try, they just label it a scam. Plus on sites such as YahooAnswers, the top contributors there tell people how all online earning is scams. And people see that, and see how they are top contributors and believe them.

It is hard to refer people. I only have 3 friends on Swagbucks and none uses it. I only have 1 friend here on myLot and she hasn't posted a single post at all. The rest of the sites I don't have a referral. I have my own blog and give details on each site once I received my first payment and keep posting payment proofs so people won't think it's a scam, but I still have no luck on getting referrals. Hopefully one day I'll get more referrals, but I doubt it. I'll just earn on my own by the slowest way instead.

Well to be honest not many people are aware of the online earning opportunities.Almost none of my friend believe that I am making money online. They say that every thing is scam online.Whenever I refer anyone specially my friend he either gets stuck some where or gets inactive. After getting some good payouts my friend are now showing some interest.
There is a kind of dilemma. Its a common belief that nobody can earn by sitting through out the day in front of computer.Even my parents sometimes get much worried about my addiction towards online income. Everyone looks for bigger check to believe that there is some thing online

I don't find it that hard.
I try to show people what they can make, and how it can be simplified into a daily process.
I try to mention the fact that I want none of their money, and the sites I'm promoting do not either. I only want to show them that they will get paid.
It's harder to get people to commit to sites that require specialization though, like writing. If people know they need a skill o do it, it's that much more likely they will never attempt.
You have to make sure you are trying to refer the right people. By focusing on sites like Mylot and general money making related sites your efforts will result in more active referrals. It's not that you can't find earn money referrals on other types of sites, but the number of referrals that don't do a thing will be far greater.
Fill out your profile with links you promote and at least some description of the site.

I too find it hard to recruit people for earning sites. Most people are afraid it is a scam or they are just too lazy to do it. I know a few people who sit at home day in and day out and they have approached me about making money online. I gave them all of my sources, showed them payment proofs from all of my sources and do you think they have joined any of them? ............NO! They want to sit at home and play Farmville or Frontierville on FaceBook all day long but yet continue to argue about being broke........ I never try to refer to friends and family unless they approach me. I try to post my referral's on my blog and on the various forums I visit. I find it easier to attract people out there on the www instead of people I know and speak with on a frequent basis. Don't beat yourself up arielbsn..........it is just most people in general that don't understand.

Becaus they are already a part of the job. There is nothing left to refer when they are already a member. :). Thats my experience. :)
2)People who turn out to be referals are inactive and so no point again

See ... people base their opinions on what they hear, perceive & experience.
Internet is vast ... conglomeration of genuine & fake offerings . One can differentiate only when one has worked on the site .... People largely keep away from risky things .
