Selling an item on Facebook... What do you think about it?

Facebook is a website where there are millions of people login everyday. It rise to the occasion of being one of the top social networking website. You can connect with friends and relatives, chat, inform status, gain friends and even play games and use application. One of the things I have noticed lately among the users of Facebook is selling. They post items together with it's description and hoping that somebody buys the item. They are doing it in their own account. I mean, if you like to sell at least you should have a separate Facebook account just for selling. I do not know if what will I say next is right, but I think they should place it somewhere else if they try to sell like in Ebay website. Sometimes, my Facebook account wall was flooded by items for sale. There were times also that I just like to do the same of selling some of my stuff in Facebook since I have seen that others of my connected friends and relatives are doing it. I am not that sure what is the general impression of public using Facebook as a place to sell. How about you? Have you tried selling using your Facebook account? What is your impression about people selling something using their Facebook personal account? Also, have you experienced buying such item sold in Facebook? Or you think we just should stick to Ebay? Only my thoughts... Hope you can share some of your views here...

I personally haven't sold anything on FB.Normally thinking ,it does not sound appealing also . It is a place for sharing , friendships... etc . EBAY is best suited for this kind of business.

Facebook is a way to offer goods, the most appropriate. Because many who use facebook. I also had offers of goods, on facebook. And the results are very impressive. I do not feel annoyed, if my facebook wall, filled with goods to be sold. Sometimes I need the goods. I find it helpful, because I do not need to go anywhere to find stuff that I need.

Well i never bought anything from people that are selling in facebook, but i do met a few people who sell stuff in facebook. I don't really take any interest at the item they sold though. But i do hate a few people who sold thing, put a picture, and tag people like crazy. I usually delete people who do that. I hate being tag like that.
