who is your favorite author and why??

My favorite author has always been William Shakespeare. I found him to be a Master of understanding the Human nature. I think his plays have diverse variety of human psychology. His books like Hamlet, As you like it, King Lear, Othelo, Macbeth, few in from the list of many has every character we could actually find in real life. There is hardly any characters missing in all of these books. His great philosophical justice to each character, the irrepressible sense of Humor could ever be challenged by any writer/author of his age or in my age. He was the master of tragedy and Humor. So, who is your favorite Author and why??
