Maybe you watch the news sometimes. If you do you might have seen the story about the possible missile that was caught on tape zooming past California. So called "experts" from the U.S. government including the pentagon, and some other tool are saying that they "think" it was just an airplane. Hmmm that's funny that's not what they said yesterday. Video: http://www.cbsnews.com/video/watch/?id=7038111n&tag=related;photovideo http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20101109/ap_on_go_ot/us_pentagon_mystery_missile They said it was most likely a missile that had been launched from a sub; probably an accidental firing. But they weren't sure what it was, as they had no reports. Now they're saying "Oh, no it was an airplane." And that the large plumes of smoke were just contrail. (contrail would be the vapor that is put off as a jet flies through the air). And just let me clear that one up, because maybe the person speaking to the media is an idiot. Planes don't put off contrails. Jets do. Yahoo news had a story today explaining how this was just an airplane, but the story has mysteriously been taken off the net recently. Maybe they're fixing some errors in their story, to make it more believable. One guy with some serious balls actually said 'it was obviously airplane contrail.' Wow. Wtf? Really, obviously? When have you ever seen a "JET" (not plane tool) put off a contrail like that? Even military jets don't put off contrails like that. And that the "illusion" of the thing firing up into the air was caused by the angle of flight on the horizon, and the helicopter that filmed the video. Seriously? Are you for real? How many planes have taken off in California? Anyone ever seen a plane do that? And the helicopter? Was the helicopter flying vertically while filming? "It's clearly an airplane contrail," Pike said Tuesday afternoon. "It's an optical illusion that looks like it's going up, whereas in reality it's going towards the camera. The tip of the contrail is moving far too slowly to be a rocket. When it's illuminated by the sunset, you can see hundreds of miles of it ... all the way to the horizon. (this is our expert?) If that was a jet, then someone needs to find a missing jet that crash landed somewhere, because that thing looked like it was burning to pieces. I understand the need of the government to calm people down, but when you make up a lie so bad, people start to wonder what you're covering up. Make a better story. Here I'll help you. "Yes it was a missile, but we launched it to test new environmentally safe propulsion systems." No one was ever in danger. The missile was launched from the ocean, to the ocean, and contained no explosive materials." There ya go. What about you people? You buying the "Da Plane" story?

"You buying the "Da Plane" story? " Yes, I am in fact and I have good reason for this. I didn't at first because to my eyes as well, it looked like a missile. But then I watched it a few times. It was traveling at a steady speed, where as a missile gradually accelerates as it rises. It was also going over all too slow to be a missile. Then I started thinking perhaps it was a meteor skipping through the atmosphere, coming in from a westerly direction. This does occasionally happen. So I started looking in a science forum I usually frequent to confirm this.....that was when I found some pretty interesting information. It was in fact a plane and the information I found confirmed this. It is actually flight AWE808 from Honolulu, regular flight. Flightaware.com confirmed the path and time. But even more telling was a screen capture from a webcam on Newport Beach. The screen shot in the link I am going to put here was taken the day after the "missile" was spotted, at coincidentally, the same time of day the "missile" was spotted on the previous day and from the same vantage point. The link i am going to give you shows the webcam capture, comparing it to the shot from the news camera the day before and it looks exactly the same as the shot from the news camera. It also includes the flight information from flightaware. I have sent this information to several news agencies and they have chose to ignore it and instead I guess would rather push the whole sensationalist mystery angle garbage. Oh well. Either way, the mystery is solved it is in fact flight AWE808, just a boring plane rather than a missile. Link to flight info and webcam capture: http://www.bahneman.com/liem/tmp/it_was_awe808.png

It's not really going too slow to be a missile. It was reported to be about 30 miles from the coast of California (Los Angeles), and it's at high altitude. It's like when a jet plane goes overhead. It appears to be just cruising slowly through the air, when actually its going past fast enough to give you serious whiplash. As a matter of fact if you look at the video you will see the plane going past the view of this object in the opposite direction. You can see that in the time it takes this plane to go just a short distance, this object covers a very large distance, and then heads past the plane. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eAZLYn44FeQ As far as the "confirmed flight path" goes, Hawaii is about 2551 miles from Los Angeles, California. This thing was reported to be about only 30 miles away. If it had been coming from Hawaii the angle view would have been different. It would have the appearance of coming toward the camera slightly, and would have been seen much further in the distance. This was viewed to be going at a north east angle. Not toward Los Angeles, and nowhere near the direction of Arizona. The height of the object is too high for a close landing. That would have shot way over, at such a close range. The contrail from a plane story is unlikely, because it just doesn't add up. A planes contrail would not be larger than the plane. And a planes contrail viewed a a distance would be a weak, thin, and consistent trail. This was thick, bellowing, and erratic. Now close up a jet's contrail would be much thicker, but also the plane would be easily seen. This object is much smaller than the trail it is leaving. Also notice in the video you can see what looks like a shot of fire coming from the rear of this object. When have you seen a commercial airliner shoot fire out of it's rear? Missile launched from a sub: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=95tFGzDpDJs&feature=related Near by plane contrail (notice the plane is much closer, yet the contrail is much smaller than what was being given off by the object in the video): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yPPgg5rUqBg&feature=related This expert isn't agreeing with the other experts: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8mSQYZ9aYfE&feature=related

It was "reported" to be 30 miles away. But that doesn't mean it was 30 miles away. There is nothing in the video to give much reference for size or distance. So the figure of 30 miles is subjective and speculation on the part of the camer man in the chopper. I sat online the other night at about the same time the missile was spotted. In fact I have done so several times. I was watching a webcam off of Newport beach that had pretty much the same vantage point as the chopper that took the video of the purported missile. Low and behold, coming from the same point of origin as the "missile", came this same flight. It looked pretty much the same as the "missile" video (when their was a contrail), when there wasn't, I could still see a glint of the plane following the same path. AWE808 is a semi regular flight. Trust me, it isn't anything more exiting.

Also, if you look at the path in the image link i gave you, the path does go by the LA area. Also, look at the screen shot from the webcam, also in the image I provided. It looks exactly the same as the supposed "missile". Did you even look at the link? It gives the flight info, path and a screen shot from the beach web cam.

i actually think it could be from another planet. now, i know you think im nuts for that but im sorry, i just dont believe we are the only beings in the universe. so is this what you are thinking?

I don't think you're nuts for believing that. On the subject of alien existance: I don't know. But I don't think this was an alien U.F.O.

Well I have seen this video and I can say that it doesn't look extraterrestrial to me. But it looks interesting enough that I am perplexed on what is this thing. I think another video from another angle will tell us more. From the video that I have seen and maybe the only one of it, The angle and the place of the camera can create a illusion of it being red and such.

I don't think it's alien either. I didn't see the red you're talking about.
