What about Nancy Pelosi?

Nancy Pelosi is determined to be minority leader of the house. Meanwhile, a number of her own party are telling her to step aside. One democratic congressman even referred to her as being toxic. Others say it sends the wrong message to the voters.
What do you think? Do you admire Nancy Pelosi's determination, despite the resistance, or do you feel sorry for her?

Neither. I think she should just retire and be forever known as the real wicked witch of the west.
Of course, she could be censured and forcibly removed, which works for me.

It is going to take a lot more than water to solve the Piglousy problem.

She thinks that Obama will be reelected and that is what scares me. I know what happens when people forget and get used to the changes. We went through the same thing when they introduced gst and pst or our provincial and federal tax , the later that was to replace the manufacturing tac - it only replaced part. Now many Canadians forgot that they are taxed more.
So there will e many Americans who will think that America has been mainly government controlled - unless there are those who remind them that before Obama and Pelosi, America was the land of free enterprise,
So I do not feel any sympathy for Pelosi

It could be a tough two years. There will likely be voters that decide the Republicans fail if everything is not fixed within two years. Also, if doing the right thing, involves spending cuts and inducing pain, some voters will react in anger to that.
Time will tell. As you pointed out, people can forget. Also, people will be swayed wildly by the major media blits the 2012 election will probably be.
Thanks for repsonding.

You're welcome. I hope that Obama is not reelected and that the next president brings America back to where it is a world leader.

I would guess that the amount of bashing that reaches the public, is just the tip of the iceberg in terms of what is going on behind the scenes.
Even if I try to be non-partisan, I do not see why keeping Pelosi in that position would be necessary or desired. She has had a lot of power, but I imagine her replacement will soon get to the same place. She is one of the primary symbols of the failed democrat congress.

There is nothing I admire about that woman and in no way do I feel sorry for her. Pelosi, Obama and Reid are the three reasons I am no longer a Democrat. I do not want any of these three hateful people being the faces that represent my political party.

It proves one thing. She just does NOT get it. According to all the polls, she is the person in congress most disliked by the American people and she still thinks she's all that. She and most of the Democrats refuse to acknowledge that the recent election is a repudiation of what they are doing and what they stand for. Instead, she throws a party to celebrate all the "wonderful" things they have done. Unbelievable. I wonder if us taxpayers had to foot the bill for that. I can't understand what those people out on the left coast are thinking when they keep re-electing her.
I certainly don't feel sorry for her. She is what she is. While it would be nice not to see her in the spotlight anymore, if they keep her as minority leader, it will keep turning more people away from the Democrat party and make them easier to defeat in 2012. The Democrat party has gotten WAY too far left for mainstream America and Nancy Pelosi is personification of the extreme left. The longer she is the "face" of the Democrats, the more it will help Republicans and Libertarians. I think the more moderate Democrats (yes there are a few) understand that if they are to have any chance in the next election, they have to move their party more toward the center and away from the progressive/socialist agenda that Pelosi represents. It will be interesting to see what they decide.

I don't know what the percentage would be now, but it used to be that only about 15% of the democrats were the far left crowd. Unfortunately, they are the noisy ones and tend to control the party, sometimes behind the scene.
The more moderate democrats need to take off their 'party hat' and ask themselves if that is who they really are.
Other than being far left, Pelosi and Harry Reid have just demonstrated an unbelievable amount of hatred and malice as they have forced Congress to do what they wanted. Sick!
Thanks for you comment.

I think that even some of her own party realize that she is doing damage both to the nation and her own party. They realize that the nation almost as a whole has seen through the liberal propaganda and did exactly what the liberals asked them not to do they "voted angry" personally if you don't want me to vote angry don't tick me off!

When voters are angry, they are not apethetic. I guess there is some good in that. Anger is an emotion, though, and cannot run things for long. People will need to look for the facts and understand the issues imortant to the country to make the best choices in 2012. This last election has once again proven that the voice of the people does make a difference. The voters need to know that, as well as those running for office.
Raising the level of integrity in our Congress is possibly going to be driven by the voters, and not from within Congress.
