I just finished watching paranormal activity 2 ( I know it's quite late :p) and I would say that it is not comparable to the first one. I think, the first one was scary amidst the seemingly low budget allotted to it. Just one camera would do :p. It got me really scared and was holding on tight onto my husband all throughout the film. It really got me glued on it because it seems like anytime, something could happen and I might miss it if I won't pay much attention.
The sequel though affect me differently. It got me bored more than got me scared. It got dry dragging actually. At first I was really onto it but it disappointed me several times. I was like! "Please something must happen! I've been waiting forever for something to happen." then when abnormal things happened I kinda anticipated it already it did not get me scared anymore. The twist was like "forced" and the ending was like "so-so". After waiting for so long it just ended like that. Pretty boring it is for me and not that sensible. :)

I think both of them sucked. I thought at first they're authentic camera captured and submitted clips but from the first movie i can already tell it was pre-produced. There were scenes where they used graphics. I'm very keen to these things and it was just a let-down. Wasn't convincing in a nut shell.

i haven't watched it yet, but it doesn't interest me at all. It was because I've heard from a friend that it wasn't that good. It was just taken out of the first movie. A part in the middle that has a twist, or scenes that weren't on the first part. It did not make any difference with the first ending. We were expecting something different, like another different story or people with unique encounters with paranormal activities. Anyway, to see is to believe. right?
