hello guys.. i just want to share my feelings now. I am so worried to lose my job. It seems the company is not good nowadays. And might do some lay off to some workers. I know i have to think positively but i can't help thinking about losing my job. It's the only income i have. I am breadwinner and i dislike looking for a new job anymore.
Is there anything that i can do to get rid of this feeling?
thanks mylotters.

Hi Tess,
Unfortunately I think many are in the same boat as you are right now. Even some of what appeared to be the stronger companies have fallen. I know that it is scary. I am the only breadwinner in my home too and I'd be devestated if I were to lose my job right now. I'm not sure what would make you feel any better. Maybe a talk with your boss to see if you have reason to worry??

At first you really be worried if you are the breadwinner, but you cannot do anything about it if the company is really going down. You should not think that it is the end of everything. I think there are other God's plan for you and your family which could help you improved and give a better life for your family. You have to face your problem in order you will not be hurt. Losing your job is not yet the end of the world instead it just a beginning of your new life. Just continue seeking a new job and you will see our creature will give you a better one. In the meantime try to think of small business wherein you could earn money so that your family will not suffer and not to defend so much in your job.

hi tess. this is a bad ime for so many with the economy so bad in so many places. I would look for another job just to be on the safe side until you feel safe . You never know when a company is laying off people just which people will get the axe. so start looking for a new and better job just in case.At work just do your very best and make sure you givbe really good work so you look like one whom they will keep in apite of laying off people. good luck and God bless.

now I'm in same situation as you. my boss is going to close his current company and start a new company, the company is completely different from the current company in business type,I know nothing about the new product, and I'm not interested in that product at all, it's too dificult for me to get familiar with the new business, so I'm afraid I have to find another job. hunting a new job is really a tough for me, I don't have any special skills and even if I can find a new job, I have to start from zero again, and I have take a long time to get used to the new environment. anyway, good luck to both you and me.

I'm afraid that you can't really control the feeling much, because it just is an important part of your life and you can't get on without. However I know why you dislike looking for any new job, I'd just go look around if I were you. So that when that time would come (I don't say it will be, but there is always a possiblity, even without having bad results), you have a second way to go, and if you have found this second way (or have looked for a new job, that might fit you), the feeling will pretty much go away I think.
The only problem you have is being insecure, so I assume when you have a fallback, that your stress (as though your problem) will lighten, if not disappear (probably lighten if you can't adapt to a new working ground that is). But the only thing you could do now is open up your eyes, and if you read the newspaper and some of the companies that are in it offer a job that you are interested in, your insecureness will already lighten as well. As long as you're busy with having a second way to go, I'm pretty sure the feeling will get smoother as well. However, you might have already considered it. If you really aren't in the mood to go for a second job (just the thought of being able to begin there), than I'm afraid there is nothing I can do for you. Perhaps going to a psychologist or telling some of your friends, they might have a solution for you.
All the best tess
