I tend to find that my typing on the computer goes a lot smoother when I am listening to music. Certain songs more so than others when they play. It allows a rhythm to be built up and to help me type easier. Do you find this happening to you, with music helping you establish momentum when typing?

I must agree on that because I do the same thing too. While typing on the computer or browsing the wed, I do listen to music. Actually, I must agree that it do increases your momentum while typing and it increases your alertness too. So, I make it a habit to listen to music while I'm in front of the computer. I would highly suggest it to everyone. I does a lot of good.

I love to listen to music whenever I can. It really helps to improve my mood in general. I guess you could say it does help to improve my typing because I am so much happier when I am listening to something upbeat. Right now I am listening to "Fantasy Girl" by 38 Special. I have a mixed CD with 38 Special, Bob Segar & The Silver Bullet Band and Journey on it. Love to listen to my music!

Improving of my mood is always a good thing. I know that I type my best when I am in a good mood. Therefore music helps me get to that wondrous place. Thank you for your response. It is much appreciated and it contributed to the topic well. Have a nice day and thanks.

Sometimes silence is golden for some people. There is something about silence that irritates me for some reason a lot of the time however. Thank you for your response. It is much appreciated and it contributed to the topic well. Have a nice day and thanks.

Music always make a rather drab day bearable. And it makes work seem light. I haven't noticed that I type better when I'm listening to music, but I sure am typing happier. :)

yeah, that is good to listen music when we are typing, I type a lot and it is good to me to turn a music on because it blocks some noise and it relax me.
I like to listen music, but not anyone, it has to be good music, I like old songs and classic music, I play some, and so, I let my instruments close to me, when I want to rest a little bit, I just get it and play a little bit, it is really good.
have a nice day.

The classics are sometimes the best. It astounds me how much the older music holds up over the years, where some of the newer music gets kind of stale quickly. In general...on second thought that doesn't really surprise me. Still good typing fare. Thank you for your response. It is much appreciated and it contributed to the topic well. Have a nice day and thanks.

I think music definitely helps with concentration when typing on the computer. Since I am nearly always on the computer (I write books), I usually use my iPod + earbuds for convenience. I think that the earbuds help a lot to because they block outside noises.
However, I cannot stand music when studying or drawing. It interrupts my concentrations somehow.

Yeah blocking outside noise does help. Especially during the summer with the windows open, with people coming and going, children playing loudly. You can hear the music and nothing else. Thank you for your response. It is much appreciated and it contributed to the topic well. Have a nice day and thanks.
