Is badminton popular in the US

I am a Chinese, In China, playing badminton is popular ,every city has many badminton field. Parents often play badminton with their children from very young. I first play badminton was in may six year old, then I became more and more like playing badminton, most of my friends also like playing it. I kown in the US Icy hockey,Baseball, Football are the most three popular games, So I want to know in America, How popular is the badminton. Do every city has badminton field?

Many kids probably never played or heard of it. It's not that famous.
