should you keep an engagement ring after you break up?

I wouldn't keep it either. it would remember me of him so if I still had feelings for him this it would only make things worse for me and make me feel really bad. so i think I would return the ringt to him. is better like that. this way we could both move on and be happy with somebody else.plus if I start a new relationship my new boyfriend would ask me hey baby...why do you have an engagement ring on your finger? what could I answer...nothing special I was engaged to somebody else we broke up and I kept the ring. I guess he would feel really hurt. I would feel too if I were in his position

I guess when it comes to ending a relationship, it's not really that appropriate to still wear it even if you already found a new love or not. It's just a means of keeping it and later realize that you have to give it back or throw it away.
