well, its the most popular social networking site in the Philippines and maybe in the world and its blocked here in our office. Well, they have reasons and its just a mattr of accepting the real fact. We used ultrasurf to access facebook and we enjoyed for a couple of months and effective yesterday they were able to trace and thus prevented us from using it. Hehehehehe sad but true and we just have to accept the sad fact and truth. Thank you and hope all could have a nice fun fun fun friday morning. Take care and God bless you all!

Thank you for understanding the reason of your employer. They are right anyway. Some employees can really get addicted to farmville such that they end up playing FB during office hours which is very unfair to the company to consider that they are paying us for our productivity. Our office, however, opens FB and other internet tools during lunch hours and after office hours.

Sorry that you facebook is blocked. Maybe you could try using your phone to get on. I know it is not the same but at least its something. I actually don't use facebook that often anymore but I do update my status over the phone quite often. good luck.

Don't get me wrong, I do use Facebook almost everyday, but I guess if you own the company you're working in, you'd probably get why they don't want their employees to have access to social networking sites during work time. But in my case, we have full access in our place of work. I work in the University and they have allowed the use of Facebook and other sites. It's only up to you if you'll just do Facebook the whole time, but at the end of the day, you'd surely be left behind with all the stuff you needed to do. I guess a lot of us regretted doing Facebook the first time it was allowed in our workplace.

The effect of Facebook to a lot of Filipinos is superb! Here in our school, all of the social networking sites are banned. The students get hooked up with the trend. Instead of doing activities, they chat around with their friends, tag photos, give out comments, and the like.

It is normal to have Facebook blocked in your office. More and more offices block it because more and more people are surfing their profile and friend's walls than doing the actual work they are paid for. The company will lose money that way, they should block other social networks and leave only the mail because it is boring and no one will use it for fun :)

yeah facebook is one of the most popular site in the world..young guys and girls even the old one, they have also an account there...its bad if the site in your office is blocked...but its sometimes its ok, even if its blocked cause that prevent lack of work, your concentrating on the site, your not working at all...dont get mad at me ok...

That actually makes sense to me. If I was running an office, I would not want a lot of people playing around on office time, unless the office had a facebook page, and they were updating it, or something.

I think this can be understanding. As some people will be addicted to Facebook and they can't focus on their work. Facebook has nothing to do with the job. It is not like email or online chatting. I love China

sorry about that. there were problems with the network before everything was blocked. and we couldn't trace where the problems came from. so, my boss decided to block all internet traffic and it seems, the network was performing better after doing that.hehehe

It's good that your company is doing something to help itself from distractions. If I am the owner of the company you are working for, I surely will block facebook because it will just be a distraction and loss of productivity. I don't think that being in facebook while at work is good. You can always access it at home and after work but not during work hours.

Yes that doesnt sound like fun but I can understand why employers have made facebook blocked on the computers at work. Some people dont wait until their lunch break to log on and chat and play around on facebook. Some do it while they are supposed to be working. In order to prevent that from happening they have to block the site. I think if I was an employer I would do the same thing.

Hi Zelmark, it is really sad for those, who really love Facebook and everyday they communicate with their sons, daughters, relatives and friends. They will face problem. Have a nice day.
