How often do you get unsolicited advices?

I don't mind getting ideas I didn't ask for but I do mind getting pushy advice. You know, the "do what I tell you because I'm a genius" kind of advice. My ex boyfriend used to do that a lot and he thought that he was helpful. I asked him to stop, at least not do it to me and my family but he didn't stop and got insulted instead. I sometimes do give advice when I'm not asked for it too but it's mostly neutral and in the form of a suggestion. However, I won't deny that I'm being annoying too sometimes...

People love giving advices because it's not a problem they need to deal with. It's really non of their business so it's easy for people to give advices. I have gotten many and they are interesting, some annoying but I'll just listen to them all. It shows what type of people they are.

Everyone wants to be helpful, and share advice. But this has happed to me often. I think it's just a part of human nature. Sometimes I take the advice and sometimes I don't. Sometimes when we are already upset we don't want advice we just want someone to tell us it will be okay.

I see my mother-in-law twice per week. So, I get unsolicited advice twice per week.
