Is Facebook better than Orkut?

Well, it's not a secret. Facebook has lots many users than Orkut, although this one's owned by the mighty Google. Orkut used to attract users dominantly in India and neighboring countries, but even that's rapidly changing now-a-days with people deleting their orkut accounts and jumping to Facebook. What do you think is the reason behind Facebook's popularity or why is Facebook better than Orkut?

Yea i think facebook is better than orkut although i have stopped using orkut now and i don't use facebook that often. The reason behing this is that you can communicate with all friends through one post whereas in orkut the scraps are just one on one person talk and also facebook provides games to play which is absent in orkut. And the main reason what you said that facebook is used worldwide whereas orkut is limited to india and few other countries. Happy mylotting.

I don't have any idea what is Orkut and never heard of it until
I read your post.
For me, facebook is very familiar as I am active in facebook.
I can't stand without facebooking for one day and i should say that I am
addicted to facebook now.
But one thing for sure, I am not playing any facebook games. I just like
to chat and update status and respond to my friends' status or either see
those nice pictures at facebook.
At facebook, I got chance to keep in touch with some old mates and I am
very happy with facebook now.
