i have two kittens which have become very lazy so i was thinking of making a toy at home for them , any ideas, they are attracted to anything that moves, preferably something small and afford-ably cheap.if possible it has to be something that does not require me to be around to operate.

Don't cats and a ball of yarn always go together? Oh, yeah, but if you leave them alone, they might strangle themselves.

i thought they'd go crazy on the yarn but they didn't, they came close to it, smelt it and continued to stare at me like "whats this suppose to be,huh?",some cats....

Awww! Maybe you need to stimulate them first. Introduce to them what that thingy is. I remember as I child, I loved teasing my cats with a piece of string and they'd get hooked!

i tried it and it worked they just love the stick , they chase it bite it scratch it and sometimes do the same with my hand, when i'm moving the stick around, instead of chasing it they chase my hand but follow according to the sound made when the stick rubes against the floor........i think there more puppies then kittens, still can those little rascals scratch ow!

We have a small stuffed fox that Popeye plays with all the time. Falcor just loves to play with anything he can find mainly balls or something he can bat across the floor. and Orion, his favorite is my least favorite because he loves to play with our feet when we are trying to sleep hehe.
