anyone know of a good website to sell ebooks

I have a little booklet about how to help children improve their reading skills. I published it myself by just going to a local print shop -and got a nice glossy cover. Very simple-but the information inside is where the value is. Anyway, i am thinking of putting it up as an ebook. Right now, i have it on my computer is an MSWord document.
It is no sense to put it up on my own website. From experience, nobody would see my website unless i spend money on Google advertising and i can't afford that.
I would like to know about websites that you can put up your ebook on-preferably one that does not charge a fee to join. Also, i'd like a website that will convert my ebook into a format that people can't easily illegally copy it and email it to all their friends.

Give lulu.com a try. Its free and they have all sorts of other things you can use to promote your book. They are publish on demand and will take their fees out after the purchase so there is no up front money out of your pocket. They do ebooks too.

The best way to find out about lulu is just sign up. You have nothing to lose. Their site is user friendly so you can see exactly what you are doing as you do it. They have a calculator that you can use to see how much you sell the ebook for to see the profits after lulus takes their fees. You can even design cover pages, look here for free pages. Like I said, there is way too much to do on lulu. I think it all depends on how you want to run your business and how much money you are willing to invest. It does not matter the format of your product but the real question is how are people going to find out about your product? Since everyone is online, ebooks might be the way to go. Good luck.

Have you tried putting it up on Amazon and other sites that sell ebooks? I would probably put my money on Amazon, but that's just me...
