Making Money Online: Looking Back, What Would You Have Done Differently?

To those who've been making money online for around 6 months or more, if you could start over (go back to Day 1), what would you have done differently?
For me, I would have started one or two blogs on my own domain and hosting, rather than taking the Blogspot route most of the time. This would have meant that I could have had more control over my web real estate and I also would have been in a better position to sell advertising if I wanted (possibly at a better price too). I would have also been able to flip my blog if I wanted to. Can't do that with a Blogspot blog.

I would have upgraded on Onbux. The reason I didn't was because it was new and I thought it would go scam, but it didn't yet. So I'm thinking about all the money I'd have from them right now if I had taken that chance..

It's a risk though, isn't it? The number of scams out there, is it no wonder you were cautious?

Yes, sometimes it does. I guess it's about trusting your gut when knowing what risk to take.

It is, but sometimes online earning calls for taking risks.

I don't know anything about the blogs, or hosting or those things. I would have started writing articles sooner so the ones I am still earning from on eHow would be more and I would receive more each month. That was my main article publishing site and now I still earn money although I don't publish there anymore.

Why don't you publish on eHow anymore?

Demand Studios took it over and shut it down. I was invited to go to Demand but I never find any interesting subject matter and I don't care for their format.

I would have started looking for more legitimate sites sooner, I've found some good ones and I wish I would have found them earlier because I would have had more money.

What stopped you at the time from looking for legit sites sooner?
