I believe that I will write a book.

I have always been told that I have an amazing way of wording myself whether it be on Mylot posts, or status updates on facebook, even to the extent of a well written love note. So, I believe I will pick up my writing once again. Yet, I am baffled on what to write about. I'm thinking about taking my recent life, and somehow weaving it into a story, but not an autobiography. I have been too much for people to judge me so I wouldn't include everything. But I have lived a very eventful life in the past few months. I just don't know whether or not it's worth the time and effort. I mean, how many books get published these days with things such as the internet, iPods and other things. Do I stand a chance? Who knows. I really don't lol. Anybody else attempted what I'm trying? Any insights on this subject? LOL, let me know if I'm in my right mind right now. lol. I think I should, but I may have a little fear in it. Oh well. I plan on taking some of my past events, telling them through another character's eyes, then playing off what may possible happen in the future. Haha, is this retarded, or no? Haha Hellllp. :)

You can surely write a book.
Better start organizing your thoughts on what book to write.
Start with your interests....... Good luck.

The past two years have been a trying time for me. I did ever tell myself that if I ever went through it well, I'd write a book on it. I'm thinking about how to write it anonymously because it will be like hanging out my dirty laundry in public. With regards to getting published, go for it, Bambi! You will never know if your book will be a hit. Print it as a paperback first, then you can have ebook versions and such subsequently. One of the reasons why I would want to write is that it provides passive income for me, and that is something I'm trying to achieve.

I say go for it honey as life events make for great reading, especially to people who can relate. I too have been told much too often and I am not only thinking of writing and publishing a book I am considering movies, something like lifetime movies.
So good luck to us both and hope one day we can say I remember that girl from myLot.

Hi,
The reading from the book has its own taste. The orthodox type of readers, though limited in number but positively may be called genuine readers, still prefer hard-copy over all other media.
Writing a book not only needs bigger words collection, but the manner to attract readers' attention. I do not know your skills, however, may suggest that if you lose the reader's attention you are not a good writer.

Go and start writing, if you think you can, you can, if you think you can't, you really lost it.

I too have been considering writing a book about my experiences, mainly about moving to Bulgaria and trials and tribulations there etc but am not sure how to start. And also wondered about getting a ghostwriter to do this for me as it would be quite hard for me to sit down and know where to start, what to include etc......but when I looked into this it was quite expensive.

I think that many good stories can really come from personal experience, yes there are some things that you can change but it is something that is a good start. When i was young i quite enjoyed writing and it was something that i considered in wanting to write a book but time passed. I don't think that i really have it in me now but i hope that you do start writing, obviously there will be times where you get stuck and don't know what to write but i am sure that in the end it will come to you. As each day passes you may learn new things that you are able to put into a book, just make sure that you keep notes when you get some good ideas, there is nothing worse than thinking of something and then when it comes to writing it down later you forget all about what it was. Good luck in this, i hope that you do do it and if it is a love story or life story then i would certainly be interested in reading it. With things that are about your life or life in general shows a lot of feelings and emotions, the good and the bad parts of life, this is all needed to show different things in a book.

Hi Bambi09! I believe you can do it, most of the authors of the books I read has your insights as well and they start in humble beginnings. It might help you to read first some of the authobiographies of successful authors since they share their experiences and also provide advises to those people who share their interests. All the best to your dream, make it happen!
