Most of the students like me find math as the most difficult and very suffering subject but my mentors in math said that it is the MOST EASY subject among the rest
because all you have to do is to familiarize and memorize the FORMULAS and thats all.
But for me its the most difficult subject at all. Even my co student and classmates has thesame says. Even i've memorize the formulas but still its difficult and the worst of all I'VE NEVER APPRECIATED THE IMPORTANT OF MATHEMATICS PARTICULARLY THE HIGHER MATH.

Mathematics is not hard if we know how to tackle it...I agree to the majority that mathematics just needs us to familiarize, and memorize the subject...It is not like history which need total memorization, or like science which needs more experiments and hands-on than any other subject...Moreover, mathematics just need you to use the pre-made, ready-to-use formulas to achieve only a precise solution, not like any other subject which might have different answers just for a single question...I believe that is why mathematics can be said to be easier than any other subject, only if you know the way...^__^

I thought math was the easiest subject until I got to calculus. I just stopped paying attention halfway through the year and it showed on my AP test. I got a 5 on the AB portion, but a 3 on the BC portion. I cannot stand proofs. They are very hard to do and I spent a lot of guesswork on them. I could have tried harder in all my math classes in college. I'm really upset that I didn't get an A in differential equations because I had a panic attack during the midterm and picked the wrong questions to do. Differential equations and calculus are used in a lot of the sciences, for example in thermodynamics or biology. Statistics is useful in all the sciences including the social ones. Math is extremely useful in evaluating the world around us and quantifying it. I have a lot of respect for mathematicians. They think differently from us.

Even for a person who loves Mathematics like me, I would have to say Maths can be easy or difficult, depending on the difficulty of the questions that are presented to us. Maths back in primary and secondary school are peanuts and I have never had any trouble with them at all, but come college, I took up Specialist Maths and it was supremely difficult! I remember I did my worst when I scored just 40% in one of the tests. I think Maths is difficult if a question requires multiple formulas to be used and the student has to know which ones to use. Memorizing formulas will be useless if one doesn't know when and how to use them......

mathematics is an interesting and tricky subject. it's not that difficult if we know the right way to approach it, and of course we must love the subject too. i bet everyone who loves mathematics will say it's the best subject, easier than those long history notes, where we have to memorize lots of names, events, dates, hard-to-pronounce biology terms, etc. even i was one who hated and disliked mathematics so much that i even had nightmares when thinking about it. but now i realize my mistake, my negligence was my greatest mistake. i'm sure had i approached it the right way and had been more serious then things would've been much different. mathematics relates to everything in this universe, from the smallest to the largest. that's how important it is. all we need to do is dedication, interest, and the right way to approach it.

Hello! Foe me, Mathematics is the hardest subject of all. Ever since i am a child, I find it so difficult to answer complex mathematical problems. The four fundamental equations was easy, but other branches of mathematics like Algebra, Trigonometry plus endless equations and mixed complex equations really was a pain in my neck when i was still studying. I just believe that there's people who are gifted in dealing with numbers because Ive done all the possible reasons for me to be much better in Math, but I simply can't solve Mathematical problems easily really. Good night!

It is for some people (like me) but others have a natural talent for it, I think, so it really depends on who you ask.

This is what most students say and what most students think. I was once like this before. I dreaded Math. I automatically concluded this without really trying. Yet, I believe now that Math is actually easy if you put your mind to it. Remove all the hearsay, free yourself from all the misconceptions. Yes, it happened to me in college. I focused on the lessons and studied my Calculus subject. Believe it or not, I got a B+! The highest math grade out of all the Cs I've received in high school. Physics involves math coz it's like problem solving where you apply algebra to the basic formulas. Again, I put my mind to it, studied well..and lo and behold, I got an A+! Lesson learned: never tell your kids that Math is difficult, because they're gonna believe it without really trying. Let them discover Math, it may be difficult at first, but they will enjoy the process and soon find it easy.

Math to me is difficult but it depends on the person. May be easier for someone than another but I always hated math & still do :(

My husband is a math teacher and he loves it ever since he was in school. What your mentors say is true..according to my husband. I'm not too good at math. I just do well enough to get on in life. I am words person not numbers. Maths has it's people...I'm not one. All the best with it

Not exactly. It maybe difficult to others but some love this subject very much and enjoy problem solving. One thing why you cannot appreciate this subject is if you have no interest in it. This is one of the key in order that it would not be difficult for you to understand this subject. Second analysis is very important in problem solving and you should know how to apply the formula. So try it.

I am good in math. When I was in 6th Grade, I was forced to study Math by my father. I am thankful that I focused on that subject because once you know math, you can easily analyze different things. All it needs is practice. It can enhance your thinking abilities and sharpen your problem solving skills.
