Music - Changes from Generation to Generation

Last Sept 7,2010, Sunday at exactly 12 midnight one of my favorite radio station NU107 closed down. It is known as the Home of NU Rock and it has been there since my childhood days playing rock songs, heavy metal, and other similar type of music. The reason behind it is that they are changing their format because as some say..Rock music is no more, it no longer sell..with the presence of Justin Bieber, Beyonce, Shakira, Miley Cyrus and lots more..their kind of music sells and they draw in more listeners...Have rock music really gone off the drain? Is no one really listening to that kind of music? It's so sad to know that this radio station closed for that reason. What type of music would you like to hear in the radio nowadays?
