Hosnestly, do men really like to be in the kitchen to help, i think this is a new thing, do you really see your dad in the kitchen when you were young, how do mothers get to cope up before?

I have no problem helping my girlfriend in the kitchen, and I always used to see my Dad cooking when I was younger. Somebody made a good point about this one time, that all the big, famous, world-renowned chefs you hear of, are men. That means the worlds best cooks, are male. Some men have a problem with cooking, thinking it's a woman's job, or something like that, but I think that's stupid. I've always like to cook, because I like to eat. I love to make something that I've never had before, and end up liking it. Don't get me wrong though, there is nothing like having a woman that is a good cook. That is great, I love having my girl cook me a nice dinner. But, on the flipside, I love to cook her a nice dinner sometimes.

When I was a kid my dad was cooking. My mum cooks too but she just wasn't into it. In my home, I cook. My husband knows how to cook too, but he prefers to eat!

A couple of years ago my father became interested in cooking. He started taking cooking classes and now he often helps me mother in the kitchen. I must admit that I was really surpriced when I heard that he had become interested in cooking, because when I was a child he wasn't the least bit interested in cooking and for 30 years he never helped my mother in the kitchen. Now he likes to cook, and when my brother and I comes for a visit my father often cooks the food. My mother is happy that he has become interested in cooking, she just wish that he would become interested in washing the dishes as well

if the tendency for top cooks or chefs is to be the gauge of an answer then, yes, men like to be in the kitchen. however, in reality, it seems that these male top cooks or chefs are just better equipped for it. i mean it's in research results already that men have bigger brains so...they, most of the time, excel in many things. in my personal experience it always turns out more special when my dad would do the cooking. but then again, my dad had more experience with it while growing up in a humble family.

I'm in a long distance relationship and my boyfriend and I tend to talk about food a lot. We hardly talk about what we happened to eat a restaurant on given days, but we do talk a LOT about the food we make. He fries turkeys for Thanksgiving and bakes pies while he's at it. One time, when I was sick, he talked about how we would make a huge pot of soup for me. I know it would be stupid to want to be sick to deserve a treat like that, but him just talking about it made me feel better. Oh and there was one time when he was using his webcam, and he took it to the kitchen. He made a really good sandwich and some apple turnovers white we were talking. It was the sweetest thing. He also looked hot in the kitchen.

Hello friend, i've never seen my father in the kitchen, helping my mom. But i can say that my boyfriend is really good in doing some dishes. She fry eggs and make them with imagination, which he usually use when he serve the eggs. He fry potatoes also, make pancakes and spaghetti really good. I'm sure if he had to cook to himself, he would, but for now i'm the one who is using the kitchen and i'm the boss there.

In our society it is always hard to see a man in the kitchen but in some families it is. In my life I never seen my dad in the kitchen but I know he is very good cook and his friend told this when he was in hostel he used to cook his own dishes but now we havenot seen him but he also gives tips to mother and those tips are really great...:) Some day I ll ask my father to have a good dish for us, when I ll go home...:) Have a nice day...:)

Hi, I do not see any problem in helping my wife in the kitchen. Because early in the morning we need to send our son to school with his lunch box and i had to go to work with lunch box. All this is to be done 8:30am.Within this short time how can she alone cope up with all the things. I think there is nothing wrong in sharing, after we leave she will heavy work like dusting, cleaning, washing etc.It is good to share always. I don't think my son feels bad about this. He will also learn to help his wife like I do. For a happy living we share responsibilities. Good luck

I really believe that men loves the kitchen work too. I think they are just underrated because centuries ago, cooking is women's thing. That's how society started so its really hard to change the peoples perception towards it. Anyway, i think that women goes to the kitchen out of necessity. it was a norm and a birth right or rather obligation? I even consider men as better cooks than us females especially when i watch these television cooking shows. I see how dominated it is by guys who are full of passion and enthuiasm. Jamie Oliver , Bobby flay etc .
