love for writing

I have been in love with writing since my childhood. I wrote my first poem when I was just 8 years old. More surprising was that I did not even understand what I had written and it was elders who told me that this was a poem, which I had written in sleep.

i beg to differ there, there are many forms of poetry and one that rhymes be it an old form of writing is still valid today. When you read some of the old poets like keats, shelly etc they too have produced that style and wouldnt be considered as amateur

Writing has been a long time passion for me. i discovered it in high school and it has never left my side. i started with short stories in a creative writing class. it wasn't long before poetry became my form of expression. When I am feeling a burst of creative energy that needs to be expressed, that is when poetry comes the quickest to me.
