I got a chance to travel for the first time when I was 5 years old. My grandmother took me to The Ganges Ghat in Simaria, 200 km away from my home. Grandmother stayed there for a month every year to take sacred bath in the Ganges and I enjoyed playing with water and running in the colorful streets there. What more I can remember is that every child had to take one dip in the Ganges to wash off all the evils from his or her life and Grandmother forcible took us for the dip as we were afraid of that.

I have heard that the Ganges River in India is a holy place. These days some parts of it are not clean enough to bathe in now. It was lovely that you had that chance when you were five years old with your grandmother.
When I was a child I traveled to France with my family a number of times. I really wanted to travel to lots more countries. So I got a paper round when I was 13 years old and I saved up money for traveling. When I was 14 years old I visited Greece with my mom.

Hi,
You are quite lucky..at least your first travelling trip was when you are
5 years old. For me, my first travelling trip by plane was when I reached
18 years old. I went to overseas for further study and that was also my
first overseas trip and left my home for long period of time.
As off now, I have been away from my hometown for more than 15 years and I was
quite happy with my life in another country now.
