How many have attempted writing online for a living and how many are doing it, when I started writing online I almost quit when the money wasn't coming, but after two years the hard work is paying off, how many have experienced that before. I would like to know your experience about writing for money

Yes, slow and steady often wins the big race! It's like planting seeds, it won't grow in an instant. It will take time before it sprouts above the ground. Just plant and plant and plant and after you get tired plant some more.
Don't waste your time, observing your seeds (articles) -- if you're doing such, you're just wasting your time looking at dirt as residual seeds/articles tend to realize its full potential months after they have been published.
I miss the times when I was still writing for exposure... nostalgic me!

I agree with you, actually many start writing online but after a few months if nothing is coming they just quit blaming that particular platform of not earning money and would call them scams, some writing platforms are actually scam but you need to do your due diligence before getting involved with any particular writing platform, I have found hubpages, Triond, Helium to be some of the best writing platform that one can get started with for more on these sites check on my profile for a complete dose of writing for a living online

I'd like to write for Triond and Hubpages but my plate is pretty much full right now. I'm busy with Helium, Squidoo and Bukisa, although I'm planning to join Triond sometime next year.

I like writing, too, and I love reading as well. I am new though in earning through writing online. I am quite earning but I enjoy the fun. Someday I will see my earnings go up, I hope:
Anyway, have you tried sharing your articles on this site that you can see on my profile? Take a look at my website on my profile and see if you like it. Thanks

I have been writing online some now and I am earning a little from it. I am not earning as much as I would like but I am earning and that is all that matters isn't it? I am hoping to earn more each month and be able to use that as my total income soon.

I have been writing online for some time now on a part time basis. I do have a full time job which takes most of my time each day. But, since writing has been my favorite hobby, I have joined a number of online writing sites. I do that whenever I have the time, writing articlles, short stories, reviews, and so on. One of the sites I have been keeping busy with is "Review Stream", writing reviews online on a variety of topics.

It does take time in order to earn while writing online. It's not always easy, but eventually with work, time and patience, it will eventually pay off in the end. That's what I think. It might not always seem like it will at first, but in some cases I think that it will.

You are right, it takes time and learning to be able to make money online writing. You will have to learn more about SEO, writing quality content and marketing your content greatly will affect your earnings. Otherwise just writing articles online and waiting for some quick cash never happened, it took me two years to get my first check from affiliate and i I would have quit then I would have lost a biggest opportunity ever.

I have not reached a stage where I can write online for a living.
If I had stayed in a country with lower cost of living, I could have survived rather comfortably from the articles.
However, Singapore is a very expensive place to stay.
A tiny little apartment costs about a quarter million in US dollars. With such high cost, it is almost impossible to live on passive income component, especially when the USD keeps depreciating.
I like writing for money, both the part about writing and the part about making money. I just hope that the income continues to grow, and I can supplement my full time employment.

I see a good future for writers in the online industry. The internet needs content. Thus, we writers, will be in demand in the coming years. I also like the idea of passive income here.
I've been writing for more than 2 years now. Although I don't get much from my works yet, I believe I will be improving my income the moment I write more articles. This is like an investment/savings that I can use during emergency cases.

I started writing online articles two months ago. I haven't made my first payout yet and I know it is going to take quite some time before I do. However, I know that I am a pretty good writer and I know that if I have the time to devote to it that I would like to devote to writing online, I should be able given enough time to be able to at least take some of the burden off of my husband's shoulders when it comes to the money that we need to be able to make ends meet. We have to start somewhere and that is the reason that I got started doing what I am doing now.

I don't do it for a living, but I do it to make some extra cash every once in a while. And I do manage to do that (I make at least a couple of hundred $$ this way every month, which is not so bad). I work mostly with private clients though.

It is great that you are getting some extra $$$ from private clients, have you ever thought of writing and owning your own articles and ability to earn passive income from your written articles, Whatever you write now will earn as long as the article is online, I really like that. I have never written for any private client since I started writing online 2 years ago. Have you consider writing for yourself if so then check on some of the best writing platform on my profile
