Protect your Computer from Virus

I am always use an anti-virus in my computer. I have been use Bitdefender, Kaspersky, Avira, AVG, Synmantec, Norton... Well, I can't remember all of them. Now, I am using AVG for my laptop, I think AVG is the good anti-virus for me now. But I don't know why a lot of my friend does not like AVG?
