do you become a christmas pudding every winter? by this i mean showing the physical and mental energy and activity of a pudding and sitting around for most of the day soaked in brandy and sugar. i definitely have less energy in the winter and this year i have planned a few days out to counteract the pudding syndrome. i even got some new warm clothes. would you consider yourself to be a christmas pudding, or do you know somebody who is? i don't mean a year-round pudding, just a christmas one. and are you going to do anything about it?
[the obligatory song is missing. feel free to supply your own]

I definitely have less energy in winter. I even started a discussion about this a couple of months back at the end of our winter. The first day of spring had come around and I was looking forward to having more energy. We are now only weeks away from summer starting and I have achieved many things over the last few months that I did not have the energy for over winter.
It also helps having more daylight to do things at this time of year too. But the sun does give us energy. I do not know how people in northern European countries can deal with no sun at all in winter. It would drive me nuts!
Christmas is a time of summer sunshine here, beaches, camping, late nights, early mornings and lots of socialising with friends!

Hi Little blue bunny!
I could easily be a Christmas Pudding I think. In fact I would love to sit around soaking up the brandy! I just love being inside all cozy and warm and sipping on a good drink watching the snow fall and the wind blow outside of my window. Fortunately for those that have to deal with me and unfortunately for me, I very rarely get to play that role. I work full time and it seems on my days off that my 16 yr old has me running all over God's little earth. If she doesn't have plans for me, then my 24 yr old who lives across town and doesn't have a car....does. Also on my time off from work there are errands to do and bills to pay. I do have that mentality and I seize every opportunity that I can to savor in the pudding syndrome you describe. They are few, far between and oh so sweet!

I was last year, but I plan not to be this year. Stress at work contributed a lot to the numbness. I have more things to keep me going mentally this year, for sure. It will be interesting to see how good I am to my new pedometer.

I took leave for a foot surgery last January, and never went back to work. I have had some hit or miss work, and I am now drawing unemployment. Love being at home, and there was this other personal problem in my family that carried on for a while. It is basically resolved, so I am doing okay. If I can figure out how to earn juat a little more online, I will probably not go back to work.

Well I don't like going out in the cold. Does that count as being a pudding? Last year I was pretty good about bundling up and getting outside even so...
