Do you think that Norton anti virus is best to use or u use some other software for the security of the PC for me I dont like norton as its quite heavy and slow down the speed of my PC... add on it has a firewall which finds way to block sites rather than finding the adwares...

I don't like Norton, I like MacAfee more than I like Norton. I have had bad luck with Norton.

My laptop came with Norton's on it, but it expired and didn't even let me know about it when it did! By the time I realized that I didn't have an anti virus on my computer it was RIDDLED with over 3,000 viruses! Luckily this IT guy at my school was able to find a free malware program online, he burned it to a disc and told me to give that a try. It took 3 hours, but my computer is not virus free!

I use Nortons Symantec on my Laptop. It is an excellent program that makes sure my PC is very well protected. I have been using it for about 4 years and I like that updates while I sleep daily.
I have never had, knock on wood, any virus and or blocked sites. So I am grateful and stand by it.

Norton is a good antivirus. Most of my IT friends are recommending that to me, even though it's not cheap to come by. IT's much safer and also better in detecting virus and clearing them. Right now, i'm using AVG because it's free, but there seems to have some problem as i'm not able to update my pc at all. With that, i might just have to change over to norton for a trial, compare which is better.
