Well, my cat of 16 years died several days ago. Wow! last year my old lab died due to a liver disease ,and this year my cat died of kidney failure. I still have my 8 year old mixed breed dog ,but since I'm planning on moving to St.Agustine, FLorida in 3 years from now is best to keep just one pet. Is really difficult to move from one state to another state with several pets. My cat and my lab were very special to me ,and is very sad ,but they both had wonderful lives and they brought a great deal of love and and joy to our family. I guess nothing is forever in this world.

I'm sorry for your loss. Losing a pet that youv'e had for years feel like losing a friend or well family...a piece of you. All good things come to an end though. There won't be an equal cat for you, but you still have your lab to take care of. You can also see if there is a way to have more than one pet, I'm sure arrangements can me done. Good luck with everything.

Thank you for your kinds words. Yes, a pet becomes another family member and is hard to say goodbye.

We have had one of those years also. Lost 3 cats, from old age and 2 Llamas also from old age. This is the price of loving animals that you out live. We are now down to an 8 year old cat and 15 Llamas of various ages. If we get any more cats I think I will try for older ones since there is no way to know how long we will be here and I wouldn't like to leave my responsibilty for others to take over.

It really made me so sad because she was crying and fighting for her life the day that she was feeling really bad. We tend to love our pets as much as we love our families. They offer us so much unconditional love. Sorry about loosing your animals too.
