You know.. this has kept me thinking recently... every active, or even not so active volcano are showing signs of eruption soon... the weather is totally unpredictable... floods happen even to the unexpected areas... It is so sunny and then after just aan hour, we'd have heavy rains!
We sure cannot fight with what the nature can do to us...
Does these also worry you or you just do not care at all and just say "come what may!"?

There is no need to worry, because nature is controlled by a higher form. Rains, winds, storms and excess heat are all a part of life, and even if it scared me, I wouldn't worry but I would defend myself. I've seen the same things here in NY, except it happened in the summer time. We don't have the power to predict what will happen in the future, but should try standing up to what it has to offer. To me any dangerous weather is a thrill and I look forward to being in any type of weather. Climate changes are gradually making spontaneous rain falls, winds and hail storms here in NY, but the test of time will be up to the higher form. We can only pray for better weather.

I don`t know what kind of man you has to be ,that doesn`t care about these things.Every winter becomes more and more cold, with temp. under 0 line. What about the summer days(i don`t know in who area you live but I am in southeast Europe). The day begins ok with sun and high temperatures, and when you thought that nothing can`t ruins your day,it becomes cloudy and an hour after this rains a lot.In these areas raining in the middle of summer is little possible. But this year it rains a lot during all of July.Volcanos are activating of unusual places. They were falt asleep hundreds or thousands years ago.Everything that I count here is very bad.We all have to think about it and do something, how little it can be.We are nothing in front of the nature, but with every day we destroy her so much.

I am not worried about such things, because there is nothing we can do to change it. Nature is much more powerful than we are, so we just need to pay respect to the Mother Earth and hope that we will not be effected by the nature catastrophes. I think that what should happen will happen no matter what, so why be nervous and think about such things in advance. Just live and enjoy your life while you still can.

You're right. We can't change these events. However, we can make some choices now which will determine how we are affected by it.
1) To avoid flooding problems, don't live close to the coast or a major waterway.
2) Escape danger from volcanoes and avalanches but staying away from mountainous areas.
3) Be prepared! There is a website devoted to educating people in what they need and what to do in case of a disaster. Check out: http:www.thereadystore.com.

Hi chiyosan,
Great question. We are susceptible to Mother Nature. And now that Mother nature is changing we all have to be worried about it. I think so. I don't blv that it is because of God's curse. It is all natural incident that happened and will happen in future. But we human have accelerated it poking our nose in the way. The result is havoc on human and humanity. Rain delays 2 to 2 and half months for last couple of yrs i our part of the world, heat rising, winter is disappearing and many. Now the high time that we do something and take small steps to help the earth sustainable for life.

I would rather use the word "concern". With all these things happening, the best thing that we can do is give back to nature what is due to nature. That is, let's minimize our carbon footprint, minimize the use of plastics, conserve water, conserve energy, and plant trees. I believe that as long as human being exist, there is still a chance to save this planet for us and for generations to come.

I think we are approaching the end times. The world has been around for billions of years-over those periods of years, there hasn't been any serious activities driving the planet to such exponential change as human activity ha done over the last 1000 years. We are slowly destroying our earth and if every natural systems that have been sustaining the habital zones of the earth give way like they definitely will, trust me, we are doomed!

Hi Chiyosan,
Yes, what is happening to the climate is a great concern and a hint that the predictions for 2010 would happen. Already we are having rising sea levels and that increases the risk of all those who stay at the shores.
Then the eruptions of volcanoes and other things too increase the pollution and make me feel scared. I dont want to die this way...
Cheers,
theSids.

Hello chiyosan!
Like you I'm also worried or nervous with the unpredictable and sudden change of climate everyday. The best thing that we can do for now is to be prepared always, we don't have the power to stop these things but we can lessen the damage or at least save our life from tragic incidents. Whether we like it or not, we have to face Mother nature's wrath or punishment. Let us pray that everything will be alright and God may give us another chance...
