Would you approve a friend request on your Facebook even if you don't know them?

I normally do not approve a friend request from Facebook since I want my network to be exclusively for friends, family and acquaintances. It's so awkward to be friends with someone you don't know on FB since this social network for me is personal, you will actually post your pictures, status and of course, you will have to interact with them. What about you?

For me it still depends, whether i add them or not but most of the time, i do add them eventhough i dont know them personally. And its a social networking....be social with others. Just keep in mind that, and just be aware of some persons that you "really don't know". Maybe tha't person is the destiny of your life haha, kidding. well, it could be good, great or bad person in a social networking. just east up a little bit and enjoy it :)

Normally I don't approve those strangers who add me in. I won't be happy to have a completely stranger inside my friend list.

No. I research them to see if we have mutual friends though.

Hello there,
I used to do that before. Not now, i find it a little uncomfortable too. I had put up some of my photos on fb, but then i removed them again, leaving only a few on them so that my friends, if they search for me, then can find me. Anyways, i used to add just about anyone when i was new to facebook but now it has become a little more personal for me. I would like to keep contacts only with people i know, or have acquaintance with. Good day.

I don't know. There might be hackers there with all sorts of tricks up their sleeves. I hate sneaky users out there so i might not accept those people i don't know.

I usually ignore those i really don't know. I don't want to share things about me to those people I really don't know. especially in facebook where some of your friends can share anything about you. Yeah, it's so uneasy to be friends with those people where they can always see you .

After studying his profile, I definitely will, especially if there is something of interest he has to offer.

No, I only add friends that I really know. Even they are some friends of friends, if I know nothing about them, I would not approve. It is because long time ago, I have added a guy, a friend of my mate. He then sent requests to all my friends and kept making his list long. It was so annoying and I felt sorry to my friends because its my mistake adding him. Since then I don't add people that I don't know.

I usually do and will try to see what's in their profile. Well, for me, I don't go FB often so I won't post anything very personal in my wall. So I can never worry about this.

Definitely a no-no.Nowadays,you cannot trust such strangers on Facebook since there are lots of fake accounts just to gain access to your personal information.

No i don't usually add people whom i don't know. They are the people who usually stay online the whole time and since they are so free they get to add every mutual friend. I wouldn't add such people onto my page. That's why i have only limited friends on my facebook page. I only use it to keep in touch with most of my friends and it's very helpful to me in that situation.
Cheers!

I don't use Facebook that much (I don't really post statuses or pictures, I use it mostly for playing some games and to know what some of my friends are up to), but I definitely wouldn't add some stranger to my friends list. I would've had to talk with that person before for some time at least, get to know them a bit.
Take care!

My personal account has turned into a business account as I sell apparels online. Therefore it has been compromised to add unfamiliar faces from thereon. It's still named after me because my dear buyers might look for me but will change it maybe in the future to protect my self identity. But then again, I removed all personal albums and made tagged photos of me to private because I have seen fellow online sellers' pictures grabbed by some customers and re-upload it on their own profile to say nasty things about them when business transactions fail. So these are my safety precautions.

No not at all, I have had a problem in the past with some one 'stalking ' me online - they created a FAcebook account so very similiar to mine and invited all my friends - it was very scary!!
I think that we have to be very wary who we accept on Facebook - remmeber their 'friends' will se what they write to you and be able to access some of your stuff.

I don't mind approving requests from people i don't know.
Actually there i found good friends, who i talk with often, around the discussions of the homeless animals. I started to add people when i started to play games in facebook. I don't know if you play some kind of game there, but everywhere you need neighbors, so ... started to add nearly everyone and accepted everyone. Now i find people around other things - groups, causes and discussions about music. It's nice. I don't have so many pics in facebook and don't share so much from my personal life, so it's o.k. for me, i don't have what to be afraid of.
