formatting ebook

You probably won't be able to submit your book to Amazon or any other site when it's formatted for Lulu. Unfortunately, each site has different formatting requirements. You will have to thoroughly understand each one and reformat to the specific requirements. Maybe some day, there will be a standard format for ebooks, but this is early days, just like when there were several different computer formats. Be sure to create new copies rather than reformatting the original one. That way, you will have a properly formatted copy for each site, in case anything happens and you have to resubmit. I'm planning to publish on Smashwords next year, and maybe on Amazon, so I've been trying to keep up with all the information about formatting problems.
