Pets can embarass you

November 14, 2010 8:48am CST
We have just had some work done in our front garden which meant sand/cement put down. It was very fast drying but when it was being done we all stood like idiots (I think we could not believe our eyes) and watched my cat instead of going from A to B went zigzag left to right all the way down the path leaving her footprints behind her! Honestly the look on her face showed us that she had done it on purpose and I think she enjoyed it. Luckily they say the funny side and quickly levelled it out before it set.

you got to admit --- your cat is somewhat funny and cute when she did it despite making your work harder.

Yes, I cannot even remember all the times my pet has embarrassed me too! (I have a dog though) Sometimes it does seem like they even enjoy embarrassing their owners indeed! But at least nothing bad came out of the situation your cat put you in, just a funny story :)

dogs can be just as bad. we lost our dog last year aged 19. His thing to do was sit patiently while you chatted to someone and when he thought youd chatted enough would pull on the lead as if to say come on thats enough chatting lets get on with the walk - and oh yes it worked lol

Funny kitty. Leaving her mark. Hee hee. Hope ye'all got around to cleaning the kitties paws off before the cement dried I would of left at least one paw mark or two just because. Our pets antics can be rather hilarious at times, others, questionable. This discussion reminded me of a story I heard about a woman and her Yorkshire Terrier, at a party. Went into her purse, pulled out a tampon of all things and started shredding it. Now that's Embarrassing!

Awe! I would have left them there, the little paw-prints! Cute! One of my girls (cats) has a habit of having to sniff everyone's shoes. We'll have a guest be quite horror-struck as she stuffs her head in their trainer to get a good whiff.

I like that one! we could not leave them there as she did so many!

I think it would be attractive to have cat's prints in your sidewalk! I will probably be replacing my old walks next year and I intend to let my two dogs leave their paw prints in it, I just can't decide where.

It does make you stop and wonder just what was going on in that cat's head.

That is very funny to hear how your dear cat did embarrass you when you had the cement put down in your garden. She went in zig zags as if to say 'what is happening to my garden'? It was lucky that the workmen managed to sort out the cement before it was fully set. When my dog, Secret, was younger I took him out for the day to Hastings. We had been up on the cliff railway and then we had walked along a beautiful area of green. I was enjoying looking at the spectacular sea view. Just then Secret had a roll in some fox mess. I tried to clean it off his fur but I couldn't get rid of the smell. We came home by bus and other passengers wondered what the awful smell was.

Oh, what a shame!!!! I guess you denied your sidewalk the opportunity of being unique! :( And are you sure pets can embarass us?!?!?! What do you have to tell about the photo by your discussion?!?!? Poor little doggie lol...in a rabbit disguise or sth like that...this is humiliation! Best wishes! :)

Aww how cute! My cat is toying with the idea of eating some indoor kitty grass we bought for her..no joy yet but she'd better eat some soon because it was the grand total of £2.19 to buy!

I know rite.....it happen . Funny thing is a cat they way they say thank you is by giving u what you dont want. At first i was angry at my kitten doing his business at the wrong places but it seems everytime i treat him extra nice i get extra eww from him its like the cats got themself confuse by doing the opposite to human. Wonder if any aesop's fables or old folks stories or 1001 nite stories have the actuality that they became like that.
