We belong to different nations. That make us distinct in our physical features. We have different eyes, hairs and skin color. And God has His purpose why He gave us unique feature. But are you aware that most whites want to have skin tanned while brown skin want to have fair skin? Here in our place whitening and bleaching product are has a huge market opportunity here, because many of us wanted to have very fair skin and not contented on our tan skin qualities. And I have also heard that Whites do sun bathing and apply tanning lotion just to have tan skin. Personally I also wanted to be fairer, though I am not that brown complexion, but still I wanted to look fairer. Maybe because many of us has browned skin and when you are fairer you're easily get noticed and they associate beauty and cleanliness to fair skin. How about you? Which skin color do you prefer to have? Why?

I'm quite tan but I'm not really into this kind of stuff. I may see this as racist or stereotypical because of what I have learned about the segregation from my history class but this seems to be a personal thing, right?
Some people look yellowish too.
In Jamaica many people use whitening products too and guess what? This craze about whitening increased the number of their cancer patients because of the lack of melanin. Well, I really don't understand the reason why people want to be white if they are dark, and darker if they were white, what about the yellow?

Skin colour is biological, and someone's skin colour can change because of disease (vitiligo), artificially (spray tan), or through natural tanning. Personally I do not prefer one skin colour over another. Sometimes I like the way a really pale female looks because her skin looks milky and soft, or the tanned body of a hot guy, the dark skin of a Black person, or all the brown shades of people. Honestly, it doesn't matter to me and I don't have a preference.

I am very very happy with the skin color I was born with (which is brown). I've learned to appreciate my skin color after witnessing some of the things my friends have done to theirs. A lot of them frequent those tanning salons but instead of getting a nice tan they come out looking orange in color which is really unnatural. I also noticed that my lighter skinned friends get sunburns easily too. I'm just grateful that I don't get those kinds of burns because it's painful.

I don't have a preference in any particular skin color. God made each one of us special. We have to look past the color of the skin when we look at someone.

Most of us, I believe, are not satisfied with their skin color, whites want to be tan, browns want to white and like this. The question is why are we not satisfied with our skin colors.
Why are whites willing to get tanned and why are dark complexion people want to be white. This tendency is high among ladies, with due respect.
I am an Indian and very much satisfied with my complexion, but would prefer an ebony to be my life partner.

Well I'm living in the nordic country Denmark. In Denmark we have very white skin, and most of us don't like it. For me personally I want to get a more brow skin color. I think I look better, when my skin is brown, and then I don't look like a snowman. But I think it's very difficult to get a more brown tan, because the only way I can do it is to travel to a warm country or go in solarium, which is not good for your skin, and you can get cancer and so on. I have tried it about 20 times before, but the color disappear very fast, and I don't want to take risk about to get cancer.

I am fair skinned and I am happy with my color but I think that the color of your skin really shouldn't matter. I mean that is what makes the world so great is to see so many people that look so different and beautiful. All skin colors and eye colors are gorgeous in their own unique way and should be seen as that. I think maybe it's just a personal thing about what you like and don't like I guess but as for me I love all skin colors and think they are all beautiful.

I honestly think that all skin colors are beautiful. I know amazingly beautiful black women, white women and Asian women, and allthough I do not know many people with other skintypes than that, I am sure there is beauty in the rest too. So that I have very, very white skin is not something I am proud of or think is a good thing. It is just who I am, and I think everyone should try to embrace their own skin color. (I do even think that some of these whitening products could be really dangerous, but I am not sure)

I am already happy with my skin color. I have a whiter than fair complexion as seen on my photo here. You are correct that you can easily get noticed when you are having a fair complexion. And it is really associated with beauty and cleanliness. But i really do not agree with that because some super white people are not that particular with cleanliness with their body. It is obvious with the odor that they have. I also find great amount of beauty having dark color skins. I really like the color of Beyonce.
When I go to places where in white people are dwelling, I would still be seen as different from them because I will not be as white just like their skin but I am proud because they really like our color of the skin we have here.

For me, i like being like me, but you know that human being is never satisfied, lol, that's the human nature i gess, like you said, white people wanna have tanned skin, & tanned skin wanna have white skin, haha, that's something related in the way how we see others, people think they'll feel better when they change the way they are, how they looki, or if they change their skin color, they'll be more recongnized, i don't agree with this idea.
Be who you are, white, black, or tanned,... everyone is beatifull & sexy on his own way.
Beielve it or not mayrah, i liked micheal jackson when he was black & with his huge nose rather his last look like, the white & thin nose of his.

I like to have fairer skin than I have now. How I wish my skin is as white as many actors or models right now because if your skin is white, you will get easily notice and they may think you are handsome or beautiful if you have fairer skin but of course it's not the case in other countries especially in western countries because most people there are white and we admire them because of their color, maybe I'm wrong, but what I'm saying is because we are influenced by western countries we tend to imitate what they have whether it's a skin color or other things like music, culture, clothing, etc, but that's only my opinion.
