My check card didn't work, it was all my fault

I thought my account was breached or something, and I simply don't know why it got a invalid transaction from the gas station, and the restaurant. Not until I call my bank, and talk to the representative. She told me that I didn't activate my card. I just don't know what she talking about. She told me that my bank issue a new card a couple weeks ago, and I told her that I didn't receive any. So, she has to cancelled the old card, and re - issue a new card to me within 5 to 7 business days. Thank God my money still there. When I go through my mail again, indeed there is a letter from my bank, and there is a new card needed to be activated. I simply didn't open that letter, and left it there collecting dust. How dumb I was. Well, since she gonna issue a new card to me, I might just wait a couple of days more. It was all my fault.

I just so messy myself, that was what I am trying to say. I did actually receive the new card the bank sent me, but I didn't actually open it to check it out myself. I just thought it was another solicitation letter or something like that. I should be more meticulous myself.

Woops, but it was an honest mistake. Atleast nothing happened to your account, you just have to wait for a new card. I don't think the first card they sent out would work if you were to activate it as they may have put it as lost or stolen, by now you should have the reissue card though.
Glad it wasn't any worse!
Here, we get mail from our bank so rarely that we open it, usually it's just a statement for our savings account.

Oh yeah, you definitely have to activate those cards. Well, I'm glad you found out!
