Okay now I know everyone associates holidays with fun and laughter but does anyone have a story that was just the most disastrous holiday of all for them. I remember one year I was stuck alone for the holidays and of all times of year I get stuck in an airport for hours trying to get back home and then get picked for a search by the security guards. What a wonderful holiday that turned out to be for me but in the end I did get to my family but the holiday unfortunately was long over by then.

Last year it was bad because of the storm that we got in. When we left, it was not snowing. The sky was actually clear. We were on the road and the sky started to get a bit suspect. However, it was not that bad when we got there and for the first couple of hours that we were there. Towards, the end, the snow started coming down and it was getting rather bad. By the time we got home, it was getting to be rather bad outside. The snow was coming down. We feared that it was getting so bad that we would not make it. Thankfully there was not that much traffic, because it would complicate some things. However we found ourselves slipping and sliding and just made it home before the worst. Perhaps about fifteen minutes or so, there was a massive white out snow storm. We came close to being caught in the worst of it and that could have been the end.

I love the snow but that sounds like it is just a bit much of snow. I am glad that you all made it home safe though I know that the holidays are the worst times for accidents. Although the snow is so nice and I wish so bad it would snow here in my part of texas I am glad in a way it doesn't because I don't want to drive in it, haha.

hehhehe, very sorry for that but it really sound good now, right? I have not such experience like you but once in our college time during holidays we friends arranged a movie night for us, in those days TV and DVDs were not allowed in hostel for students, two guys went to take TV and cd player, on their way back it starts raining and one guy got slipped and the TV get into two pieces, when the owner of the TV came to know about this, he just rushed to our college to talk to our principal bu we all guys made promise that we ll pay him tomorrow then every body contributed in that and took some help from the employees too to pay for TV and that was really an interesting story of one night...:)) Have a nice day...:)

One holiday i remember that was disastrous was when i was staying with my aunt. She was the sweetest thing but i was a kid back then and i didn't know that. I ran often around the house throwing my paper plane and i broke her antique vase. I also didn't know it was from africa and costs a fortune. It was a disaster for her, i guess. lol

lol, awww that is so terrible but I am sure that she forgave you and that things are good now. And isn't it always that things like that happen around the holidays even more than other times. Thanks for sharing your experience it's good to know I'm not the only one that has had a bad or interesting holiday.

This topic reminds me about one really horrible New year's eve. I was at a family party with all my in-laws - the parents of my late husband, his sister and her husband plus my mother and my little daughter. I have to say that those family events were always tense but thit time... A few days before that I discovered a few pimples on my girl's skin. I rushed her to a doctor and he gave us a wrong diagnosis. So just before the start of the new year the poor girl got covered with nasty pimps and the itching made her crasy. I made the fatal mistake to stay there instead of go home ASAP. The reactions of my in-laws made the evening turn to a nightmare. Thanks God my daughter had just varicella.

Oh, no that is so terrible and isn't it always like that to where you want them to just be polite and not say anything but they just can't do it. It's awful I have family like that too on my fathers side they always have something negative to say and if we are sick they just make fun. I am glad that she is doing better though and hopefully every holiday since has been wonderful for you all.
