If you eat healthy does it matter what products you use?

If you eat healthy, are you really healthy if the products you use on your skin are full of chemicals and harmful ingredients? I mean you skin is you largest organ and whatever you put on it absorbs into your blood stream? If you eat healthy is it better to use natural product or products with less chemicals?

Yes, it always matter to remain healthy you need to eat a healthy diet with all the requirement of your body. We should take care of our product or food which we are eating, it should be free from all toxic chemicals for example if we are using vegetables so we need to wash them 2 or 3 times before cooking, cooking meat or other protein also have effect of cooking, so care should be taken while cooking etc
On the other hand, if it comes to chemicals that are absorbed into skin, care should be taken with this too, you should always tell your doctor about your concern, because we dont know about any lotion or oil that what toxins it have and what is its effect on our health,so better option is always to take advice from a person who know it...)
Have a nice day a head...:)

I did ask two doctors, dermatologist to be exact, they said that skin care products do contain chemicals that are really harmful to the skin and body.

I think it does matter. Like you said it is absorbed into the skin. I had a friend who was on an eating program and for the duration there were no lotions, shampoos and soaps that could be used if they contained oil. this is because the oils are actually absorbed into the body through the skin!

I think that oils were not the exact problem but the type of oil...I know mineral oil and petro based oils are harmful and don't benefit the skin. Shampoos and lotions have Sulphates and parabens which are bad. So it's understandable, the programme probably had a detox component as well. Thanks for the thoughts

Organic and "healthy" foods are so expensive at the grocery..I for one, can't afford to eat "healthy". So I just use common sense and "all in moderation". It isn't going to hurt anyone to have a Whopper burger once a week and just watch what you eat and when and how much. And on the other hand, i haven't seen to many vegetarians and "organic" people that look like they are very healthy. They all look pale, thin, weak and malnutritioned.

Lol...I am not pale nor I am weak, but I am thin. But I am not a vegan or a full fledge vegetarian, but I don't eat fast food. I am not an organic type person. I just try and I think alot of people are just trying to eat less processed food. My sister believes that life is all about moderation...I agree to some extent. Thanks for the thoughts.
