The novel Moby-D--k (MyLot won't let me spell out the word!)was published on this day in 1851. "A classic," said Mark Twain, "is something that everyone wants to have read but no one wants to read." For years no one read Melville's classic, and today it's still a classic that no one wants to read, and it's doubtful that anyone even wants to have read it.

I agree.I meant to read this book about a thousand times,once I even got it on audio book hoping it would help me. But I still never read it. I hope to someday but I am to busy now. Its like a thousand pages long or so and it doesn't seem that interesting.Just one guy going on and on about a whale.
