during the 13 colonies there were middle colonies northern colonies and southern colonies. Heres some Q's about the Southern colonies:
1.why did England awant coloniies in North America?
2.What happened to the first attempted colony at Roanoke?
3. Which was the first permanent colony settled by the English in 1607? how and where was it formed? Explain what happened at this colony.
4. Why did tobacco growers want large plantations?
5. Where were small farms located?
6. why did few people live in cities?
7. who was used for labor on the plantations?
8. list the 5 colonies in the "Southern Colonies" region.
If you have some ideas or answers to these questions please share. i also want to know about what you think happened to the Roanoke colony. the roanoke colony was a english colonie that mysteriously dissapeared. the leader went out to look for supplies in england but he arrived in england a war broke out between england and spain. the leader of the colony was stalled for 3 years and when he finally returned home his whole colony had become vacant.the name of a near by native american tribe was carved into a tree, the Croanoke could been the good guys or the bad guys. what do you think?
