Have you ever dated a friend?

Yes I have and I dont think its a very good idea. It was ok at first but if/when you break up its hard to remain friends. Things just arent the same after that.

Personally for me this is sort of an unspoken rule, whereas I do not date friends as the first thing that comes to mind is that if the relationship failed not only will I lose a love, but I will certainly lose a friend. As things will never be the same between a friend and I and I value our friendship mostly to the point that I would want it to remain this way and not chance it. Yes I have tried but after the first date we both agreed being friends suit us better instead of being couple. But later, he became my best friend and we still laugh about our dating idea.

I did try once, but I am a totally failure. I really give it a try, and this girl only treated me as her friend, nothing else more than that relationship. After while, I give up, and I felt compelled to leave her alone, and not talk to her much anymore. So, I might not want to try second failure.
