More sad news.

They say it never rains but it pours and that seems to be true for me this weekend. I wrote about Friday being such a difficult day because my friend's mother passed away with a massive heart attack very early that morning, and how he was staying with us when the news came. Later I received news that an old friend that I hadn't seen for several years had died, and just a few hours ago I received word that a good friend who had taken ill just over a week ago passed away early today. I guess the longer we live, the more friends we lose. Have you ever noticed that bad news seems to come all at once sometimes?

It's been like that way back. We've only shifted our attention just recently but since we were kids bad news are all over the place. Come to think of it, i don't think there was a time when everything was just peaceful and every news was good news.

Yeah, it seems like it all comes at once like that. And I suppose you are right that the longer we live the more of our friends who pass away. But the longer we live the more friends we can make too!

I agree that the longer we live, the more friends we lose. I have seen some of my colleagues and friends as well including some of my old neighbors leave us forever. It has always been a sad moment to see this kind of thing happening in our life. But it doesn't seem to be something that we can totally prevent. All we can do is to appreciate the new start of each day that we are still alive and enjoying the life we have. Take care, Pose.

Hi william, Thank you for your thoughts and I'm sorry that it took so long to get back to you. You are right there is nothing we can do about it except be grateful that we were given a change to have them as friends and perhaps hope to see them again. Although it's difficult at the moment, we must remember that there work here is complete but there is still more for us to do. Blessings.

That is the way it works around here. And certianly as we grow older more and more of our friends pass on. This has been a bad year for us, so many have gone and we find ourselves just dialing the phone before we remember that they are gone. There must be a blessing in this but it's very hard to find sometimes.

Hi savypat, It's said that all things happen for the best but you're right sometimes it's difficult to see the blessing. I know that we must accept such things but when it's friends of your own generation, there is a sadness that's hard to overcome. Thanks for your thoughts. Blessings.

That happens to y country. Some days ago, my country was hit by many disasters. All at once. Flood killed many souls, then tsunami comes and claims hundreds. Just a day, a mount erupted and killed tens souls. I don't know what happened in my country exactly. Seems we have to reflect what we have done. Have we been behaving so good to the nature? Or we just destruct and destruct the nature??

Oh no Pose, I am so sorry this is just awful but yes I have noticed that it always happens all at once, something I noticed to it always seems to be just before Christmas that most Deaths happen

Hi gays, Thank you for read this discussion and for your expression of sympathy, and yes I need the hug too, thank you again. It's difficult when several friends of your own generation pass over at the same time. It creases a sadness that is hard to overcome. I should mention that another friend who has been battling cancer since July, when doctors gave him one month to live is still with us and in good spirits. Blessings.

I went through this a few weeks ago for almost a month and it is not fun. It seemed that every time I thought we were getting past the worst of things, it suddenly felt like the world had crumbled again. I learned of about 6 deaths in a matter of three weeks. It seemed that most were young people too.

It seems that you are very sad now a days. Sometimes when we die to hear a simple good news often has to hear only bad news. I have faced lot of instances in my life when I have heard pathetic news together. Life is a mixture of ups and downs But such incidents makes us believe that life is full of sad happenings.

All these things are part of life. We have to accept it peacefully. But we could make more conections with the friends who still alive. That is better than be sad for the losing friend.
