Mine does. She's 4 years old and it started last year, she only talks in her sleep though when she's exhausted. Is is a bad thing for a child? Is there a cure for this? Or it will just pass?

Most of us not only children but also adults talk in our sleep. Some even get up and do some things like looking for a thing. My 11 year old son does it sometimes. But I think that's normal, maybe it is triggered by our so-called sub-conscious mind. When your daughter talks again in her sleep, press your palm gently over her chest and ask her a question, chance is,she will reply.I did this already to my children.

I think it's just normal especially when it happens when she's exhausted. It could probably brought about by the recent emotion before she slept like happiness, we can see someone laugh in her sleeping. Just keep on observing. If you think, it happens frequently than you expect, you can perhaps seek for medical advices.

hi hushi22! thanks for the response. :-) I hope it will pass, I sometimes wake up in the middle of the night worrying about her talking, just to make sure that she's fine coz sometimes, she shouts and cries, poor baby...
